  1. I have no problem with it. I hope this prices them out of Willie Reed's range and the Hawks can pick him up.
  2. Please reread my post, I wasn't critizing Milsap at all. I gave him credit for showing up. Also Dennis score 25 pts per game on 46% shooting in the playoffs. You have no basis in criticizing him at all!
  3. From those stats Dennis went around Wall at will too. Walls defense was lacking too. Like I said, I would have loved to see Dennis play better defense and a lot of other things better, but you CAN NOT say he didn't play well in the playoffs when every one outside of him, Sap, and Prince shat the bed. He actually gave me hope he could turn into something more than an average point guard going forward. Also, you watched the series. Washington attacked the pick and roll. They knew Dwight would sag off and if Wall wasn't puling up for uncontested midrange shots once he got Dwight on him he was assisting to the other players.
  4. Just fine if you ask me. Wall: 29. 5 pts 10 assists and 4.5 turnovers per game on 20.5 shots per game. 525% from the field. Dennis: 25 pts, 8 assists and 2 turnovers per game on 18.3 shots per game. .455% from the field. So comparing him to the best point guard in the East, he stacked up pretty well. What stats did you expect him to put up?
  5. But he took 18.3 shots AND those are empty stats!
  6. Remember Teague doing that and several other stupid things in his last season here? Look all our players have stupid moments, but there are some here unwilling to say anything positive about the Hawks point guard. He's a Hawk. It seems you would want to support him and hope he improves in areas he is lacking. Bashing him to no end isn't going to help anything because as far as I know he will be here for the near future. . Sidenote: I'm not bashing Dwight to defend Dennis. Dwight did one thing well for the Hawks, rebound. His pick n roll defense and offense were lacking. He's not the reason the Hawks lost a lot of games. In the same instance, he's didn't cause the Hawks to win a lot of games. The main thing the Hawks were lacking were wings that could create offense and shoot. If they could do any of that consistently, both Dennis and Dwight would have been better.
  7. Funny how you didn't answer my original question. Please answer that question. You know I wouldn't be like this towards you, but you speak in absolutes when it comes to Dennis as if he's done developing or as if some of his bad habits can't be corrected. None of us here think Dennis is the perfect PG. He most definitely can be upgraded. My point being, every since Teague was traded you haven't had one positive thing to say about Dennis. When I see you do that I will gladly applaud. You act like Dennis is Michael Carter Williams out there. Would you rather have him as your starting PG? Then you defend Dwight as if he's Shaq and had no Flaws. I'm not a fan of any specific player. I'm a fan of the Atlanta Hawks. If you're not a Hawk, I'm not defending you. I like Teague, Sap, and Korver, but now that they aren't Hawks and can't get this team to a championship they all can go kick rocks.
  8. The Celtics will not be taking over the east, next year they will have salary cap hell. The next couple years will determine if they hit on any of these incredible assets they've been touting for years.
  9. Question: Did Dennis play well in the playoffs for a FIRST year starter in a playoffs? Question: Did Dwight play well in the playoffs for a 10 year veteran?
  10. I'm hoping for Willie Reed and Ersan to be the starting powerforwards.
  11. I wasn't saying he was wrong, but if you assume the Hawks will release the trade exceptions. I believe the Hawks still have plenty of flexibility. I didn't read that entire article btw. I probably will tomorrow at some point.
  12. Remember Hawks Fanatic is still counting the trade exceptions. Take a look at the cap over at spoctrac. it paints a different picture. The Hawks still have plenty of flexibility.
  13. Waiters 4/$52M so $13 million per year on average.
  14. Kinda like you calling Dennis' stats unimpactful. You do realize you act like Lurker with Dwight when it comes to Dennis. How irrational you see Lurker's comments with Dwight is how some see your comments on Dennis.
  15. I'm more intrigued by Willie Reed than CJ Miles. He has some upside as a starter and probably will be had for a decent amount.
  16. You also have to add capholds and the roster charge for not having 13 players. So the minimum times 3 and the cap holds.
  17. Just so there's clarity. The Hawks are getting a first round pick.
  18. I'm sorry, but watching the Celtic fans implode on twitter right now is better than the 4th of July! It's Christmas in July!
  19. Gary Harris, Zach Levine, Jusuf Nurkic, Aaron Gordon (if he gets coached up). I'm not saying any of these players will be super stars but they may develop into All stars that will get better free agents to look your way and they all are super young. There's also a lot of players who can opt out of their contracts next year, but I can't find a list of them yet.
  20. The 2017 - 2018 season may very well see the Hawks in the top 10 of next year's draft. I think the Hawks may take a step back next year, but will not be in for a long tank. If you listen to Bobby Marks in the link below, he thinks approximately 60% of teams will be in the luxury tax for the 2018 - 2019 season. Leaving them no room to offer FA max contracts. http://www.espn.com/espnradio/play?id=19797426 The Hawks may be waiting for next year, which has a much better free agent class when you look at the younger players. A lot of teams with young players with star potential will be in cap hell and not able to match a near max or max offer by the Hawks next season. A lot of teams will also be willing to trade some good players to sign their "better players". http://www.spotrac.com/nba/free-agents/2018/ So we get a top 10 draft pick, plus Minnesota's and get the young free agents. Young free agents aren't like veterans. They will chase the money. Just my two cents. I've seen a lot of panicking about if the Hawks are tanking or not tanking, and statements about the new GM not having a plan. I think he does have a plan and we just need to be patient. As a Hawk fan we should hope for the best, because we really don't have any other choice.
  21. Where are you getting the inforamtion that Gordon Hayward is going back to Utah and Paul? I haven't seen it anywhere.
  22. There are going to be teams n the east making the playoffs with 30 wins.
  23. I actually like the Hawks waiting on the scraps, that way they won't over pay for anyone. Also, alot of these deals are very reasonable when compared to previous seasons. Don't over pay for Moose or THJr and if you choose to bring them back.
