  1. yet, the "bud" in "budball" seems pretty pleased with the way he is playing. so ?!? maybe you should call it dieselball whatever you wish the hawks to play like.
  2. oh so you approve our own comments? that's nice, i guess.

    GOODBYE THJ!

It also shows in what kind of a dream wonderland all those live who want to match this contract.
  4. Funny how you are all like Let your new GM at least do his work. If he kept Dwight you would all be moaning in December because you still can't compete for a championship. Whatever they do it is just wrong... how can they dare to not get Durant and Curry as FAs.
  5. so if I was in a team with chris paul and i could not make an open three, set screens, or do anything to help my team, according to you it would be his fault. Because he is not a good floor general, because he doesn't serve me opportunities that even i could make. Sounds about right.
  6. Some just need a reason why it did not work with Dwight as expected. His City, his show.
  7. As frustrating as this loss is, you could also give Bud the benefit of the doubt that he knows what he is doing? I really don't like the benhcing Dennis, but you don't know everything that happened. Maybe it is necessary for Bud to make this point even if it costs a regular season game. If you are planing with Dennis for the future, wouldn't you be willing to adjust things now if you can? Stupid loss, but maybe put the pitchforks back again.
  8. not so much because of this season. The question is rather what will happen in the off season when they do not act now.
  9. How many current pgs do you find in the current nba with that profile? I really doubt that a young point guard can be the puppet master that you think he should be. Sure, decision making, play calling is his job. But this is not like haveing a gamepad to move all other 4 players. Sometimes when I watch the hawks, I am surprised how little movement there is from all players on the floor. And this applies to Dennis too when he is playing off the ball.
  10. Running the offense sounds as if he has the ability to get everyone into position. I have never played competitive basketball, but at least in soccer, most of the time, the good move came from the pass receiver and not from the one playing the pass. You can have as much an intention to pass as you want, if there are no opportunities you can't just stand around and wait. Sometimes I just have the impression that some here want Dennis to take the rest of the team on his shoulders and drag them to their luck. Again, is he making mistakes? yes. But is he always missing the free guys or is there also a lack of movement from wings or lazy screens by Dwight and so on?
  11. German contingent here (although usually reader, less writer) What I don't get is, that for me, dennis is playing better than I ever expected from him in this first season as a starter. Especially, if I consider that this team has major issues at other positions. He has certainly things to improve, but that should not surprise anyone. As a bonus, he carried this team during a stretch of the season, what impressed me a lot. But some of you expect him to do more than guys like Howard or Millsap. And at least for me this is not justified. Criticize him if he is playing bad, that is fine. But don't pretend that he is responsible for the mess this team produces (way too regularly). Honestly I don't get the american approach to sports (at least from a fan's point of view). Either you win a championship or just blow up everything because they are garbage. You do the same with players. Yesterday you want to trade everyone, today you are planning the parade and tomorrow no one knows. (e.g. THjr, had to lough about the "pay this guy thread". Not that he is bad, but this guy went from bust to hero like 25 times this regular season so far) I understand that being a fan of a sports team has a lot to do with emotion. But if you talk about things like a rebuild you should not be guided by todays mood. tl;dr Criticize where it's due, but do not apply a measure meant for the veterens of our team to 23 year old first year starters.
  12. you are watching the game? kyle is not playing, i bet 100 he is gone
  13. you are aware that quite some things happened since signing Howard? and why not now? Maybe there are good offers available, or they just sell when they had some good displays of Kyle. I mean it is hard to sell someone having 2pts on 4 tries in 30 minutes.
