  1. So for the Squawkers that do think we should keep Baze. How much would you pay him wether Al is back or not? I understand that Al's staying with us would affect how much we could give Baze. I'm not really able to comprehend the massive increase in the new cap for all the teams. Crazy money.
  2. Sort of reminds of when Orlando destroyed us in the playoffs with Howard inside and the threes reigning in. Stan Van Gundy was their coach then.
  3. Sounds like anything to win a series, huh.
  4. Hoping Dennis turns into a high level every game PG for our future but right now trading Teague or Milsap looks like a big mistake. Like Jody said it does not make sense for another team to trade good value for a rental anyway. In this case Denver.

    Changes for game 3

Your so right DS17. The main Cav crys to the refs all the time. All of them will probably cry if we show up in force. LeBron gets away with charges constantly no matter who their playing. Last game he took the night off from begging the refs because of our horrible showing. Show up Hawks!
  6. Didn't realize teams have already shown interest in Baze. So I guess we coach them up and others reap the benefits of a more developed player.
  7. When their coach Lue played for the Lakers he was a hard hacking type of PG. He fouled Iversen a lot and really hard and kind of rubbing it in that he was getting away with it during the finals one year. It was talked about back then. Maybe its OK with him to rub in no matter what the situation.
  8. Haven't noticed if Humphries has played more twenty minutes in one of our games this year. Does anyone think he could handle heavier minutes with a lot of them against Thompson. That would keep Sap on LeBron. You wouldn't have a forty pound difference in the SF matchup that way.
  9. Their FO is now somewhat different so maybe they are going to look for trades and free agents versus drafting nineteen year olds. Covington could give some offensive help to us.

    Changes for game 3

I think Humphries would welcome battling for rebounds against Thompson or anybody. Would anyone else on our team?
  11. Seems like Howard belongs on reality tv these days. Diva causing locker room stress. Al has flaws but he does not act like Howard so I think he is a better fit for us.
  12. Big difference in J.R. in NY and in Cleveland. He acted like a twelve year old and was a distraction in NY. But now he is shooting lights out. Does LeBron have that much positive effect on head cases? Was J.R. this good of a shooter in Denver?
  13. Thinking that Humphries is the only guy we have that would really mix it up with someone. Maybe Thabo if someone gets after him.
  14. KG you make a strong point on what age these guys are when we start developing them for our system. DMC already had the hustle defense rep when we got him. Truly don't know what Baze can command but if a team becomes desperate probably more money than we will pay. I really like his hustle and with continued improving of his shooting and decreasing the turnovers (needs to happen now) I hope to keep him for the future at SG. The gamble is will he improve at his age like you talked about.
  15. What team would pay 15 million for Baze to start, I'm guessing at SG? Not sure he would get 10 even with the exploding cap. His hustle would be nice to keep at some feasible price.
  16. Seems like when Humphries is hungry he gets seven or eight rebounds in twenty or so minutes. Maybe Bud wants him to hit eighty percent from three or he rides the bench. In our situation I don't see how giving him minutes hurts.
  17. So if we keep developing swing players but we don't hold on to them we don't have the chance of them performing big time for us in their prime. Yet some other teams are so far over the cap it's ludicrous.
  18. What is the feud with Humphries? At least he could battle with Thompson some. Al doesn't like too. Hope Edy improves really fast for next year.
  19. If you make it to the second round you are one of eight teams. Eight out of thirty seems pretty good until you see the enormous difference between the Cavs at playoff time and us.
  20. If our Hawks thought they were disrespected I would say their play on the court did not show it. Like a kid getting insulted by a bully and then beaten up.
  21. Supes is right on it. We would be bigger and all three in the the front court can shoot. After last night they should get a lot of minutes together. Could give us some rebounds. If the Cavs keep making threes like last night we will have to shoot lights out though. This has not been the year for that.
  22. Not too long ago it was felt by some the Cavs would implode at some point. Instead they turn it way up on us and shoot lights out. The starters stunk and only so much can be blamed on Bud when they were so awful. Still, his rotation minutes all year have been less effective than they should be. Last night he played Korver a lot less but nothing seemed to matter because the Cavs just buried us.
  23. Even after LeBron talks about playing Miami in the second round and not about playing us in the second game we still lay an egg. Our highly rated NBA defense looked like Doug Moe's Denver defenses from the seventies (grade school level) trying to stop anything from long range. Just a terrible game for the starters.
  24. We have had the occasional Playoff Teague so now maybe we have the beginning of Playoff Dennis. Consistency from the PG's please. Now would be the most perfect time! Beat the Cavs!
  25. It's super tough on the road especially in you know who's house but I agree with you guys that if Bud manages the rotation minutes better we can absolutely take this game. Go Hawks!!!
