  1. FO just have a lot of work to do. They dont have the guys to build this team imo. LF x KK are so cringy to know they make personnel decisions with Resslers in the cut. This team has a long way to go.
  2. I dont think he blows up with Dame, Giannis, Lopez, Middleton all players better than him by a long mile and playing for his daddy. That trade would not help either team
  3. Trade Landry Fields and Kyle Korver for one. They will never be it
  4. Lol my friend I will never forget this night when Landy Fields thought he drafted the second coming of Kobe Bean Bryant. Our GM and front office is so trash I hate admit it. I am glad Trae threes are falling though
  5. He's currently in his prime years is what folks are saying. How long do we have this window to experiment, see who fits, see who don't with Trae? We cannot continue to waste these next set of years because that speed will start to decline as new, younger, bigger, faster, and stronger comes kids come through the doors. Our GMs are trash. I have to say it.
  6. Chris Paul also had a grandfather that died at the age of 61 and he scored 61 the following game after his passing. Chris Paul is different and was different in high school, college and early on. He's definitely playing at a high level but definitely not producing at a high level. He also highly loved and respected on team USA. We're still trying to get Trae to get love for the circus all star game.
  7. Some people actually really believes a man walked on water and fermented grapes in a day and turned it into wine. Trae is a great, lightening quick point guard. So was Chris Paul at one point. So was A.I. So was White Chocolate....So was John Wall. I just hope he gets a ring because the decline happens quick with the little guards. He's 6 years in on baby #2
  8. Welp, 27 shots I expect 40 you do the math. If you took 30 you'd probably score 15 against Magic
  9. Oh my bad. Still a lot. It was so obvious he thinks Mexico was there for him and him only. BUT there was a mural and a court so maybe Mexico was to showcase Trae Young. I just dont see what others around here see in him.
  10. No one hates him man. He just plays hero ball too much and in reality some of us know he cannot lead us to a ring. This team just isnt built for it this year or next with the same roster. Thats a reality you will have to accept. He's still a chucker, 5-15 3pt, 25 shots and we inched by a beat up Magic team with his best performance. Cmon man. And yes Trae thinks this whole Mexico trip was about him but he put on a show
  11. He's actually had a worst game this season bud. Maybe two. [It would be a mistake to] just keep rolling out what we have and hopefully get lucky....
  12. A more tamed Trae, a system Trae, a less chucker Trae with a somewhat happy dad looks like an avg pg in todays NBA to me. He looks mid. I know, we all love Trae. He's our city superstar. But he's been trash I have to keep it real man. As Atlanta fans we're so loyal to our superstars because we know they dont come around often. I feel Trae doesn't fit this system.
  13. Well that was ugly but every game cant be pretty. And luckily we're only in the very beginning
  14. What were these guards doing all summer? I know Brunson played overseas but geez is that what our guards need to do moving forward? Play pickup overseas games over pickup lifetime fitness games where you cannot double team?
  15. Emani Bates fell into our laps though but our philosophical, latte GM. Kid is going to be special
  16. I just hope we can get Manek on the roster. He's played college, played overseas. His experience at a young age will be so beneficial. I love DJM locked in and committed to be the leader. We need that
  17. All of your points are great. I rather Trae just focus on us. Come in season fresh legs. We're gonna need to start off strong this coming season.
  18. @AHF I don't know why this site won't let me quote other user's posts But to your point, those guards you named were born and baked into international play. These guys were playing pro ball in their teens. Trae's biggest accomplishment trophy wise was what, high school basketball in Oklahoma? We all can say the three point line is shorter and easier but you have to one, get your shot off quick in zone D and two, get used to the ball. All nba players Im sure will say that ball is different. As far as passing, Trae is not a Kidd. He's a shoot first pg we all know it and in my opinion it just wouldn't work on this team that is built on your starters must play elite defense. Again, the floor isn't spaced out like nba and you can't just run pick n roll with Trae against international defenses. Those teams are too smart and well coached. On top of the refs actually call travels across the pond. Trae would be frustrated alone off the refs let alone the way he is coached
  19. @TheNorthCydeRises and dude Patty grew up against pro international players. He was a veteran in his teens lol. The NBA was much easier for him. I believe Luka said the same thing
  20. @AHF like I told @TheNorthCydeRises Trae game does not translate well to international play and there is a reason he is not invited. Those coaches have been around basketball much longer than any of us fans. They have seen everything in person and up close than you think you have seen on television. International game plays heavy, hard-core, physical zone. They play multiple 7 footers at once who can shoot the three. They play 6"6 guards who constantly move without the ball and can shoot the three on some catch and shoot. You have to know how to play defense to even keep up. If teams made Kobe, Wade, and LeBron work and have 100pts dropped on their heads, what do you think they will do to a 6ft 160lb guard who is known as WOAT defender? You cannot go overseas with that FIBA ball, with FIBA rules, and FIBA physicality thinking you can jump into defenders and get to the line. You cannot go overseas and expect the floor to be spaced out like the nba and think you can just penetrate anytime and throw up a lob with two 7footers in the paint. You guys are such basketball casuals and Homer's.
  21. @TheNorthCydeRises it's no knock on Trae but he can't shoot. And overseas guards make buckets. Rubio is a better guard than Trae across the pond. One because he's bigger, two, he shoots better, and three, he plays with the guys long enough to know every passing lane and where his cutter are going. You cannot insert Trae into a thrown together lineup against international talent. They play physical, he can't jump his way to the line, and they play zone very well. You're not gonna be a 28 AND 10 overseas bro I lived in Madrid for 6 years and went to several games through those years. Even the street ballers are nice and play a completely different style than NY playground hoopers.
  22. @MarylandHawk Trae is pretty much Iverson 2.0 bro. We have already seen Iverson play international ball and it was ugly. We just need Trae to stay here and focus on Hawks
  23. @RedDawg#8 FIBA has never been about the best players. It's about players that fit the style of international play. Trae style most definitely does not fit FIBA style. He cannot get on the line like he does in the nba He cannot shoot the three. They play zone and the ball is different. He cannot play defense. In FIBA there is constant movement offensively and Trae has to fight screens galore. FIBA won't let dribble dribble dribble your way to alley hoops
  24. @Diesel red flag? Bro its the 46th pick not the 4th or the 6th. The guy from Penn is not a steal. Again, Chris Paul about to contend for a ring Josh Childress is a real estate investor Josh Smith is somewhere in LA fitness still shooting threes. Organization is notorious for out thinking the room but we will just have to see
  25. @terrell bro this is what they were comparing hin as. Long, lengthy, ball handler, shooter, creator. Was looked at as #1 prospect Why not kick the tire? A good chance your 2nd pick plays in college park anyway
