Players dont like Trae, ranked him last. Hawks are an avg team. Cant expect much there.
DJM didn't deserve to be there

I've been a fan of Ime Udoka work. Quality offensive scheme which adjust to the personnel with great defensive schemes that don't break the integrity of the defense.
Guys like MDA are old and washed. He might give us a good 60 games but after that, he would be looking washed and done needing to go back to retirement
Couldn't have said all of that any better. I cant understand the love this place has for MDA.

I mean why would he come here? A bunch of unproven guys who know absolutely nothing about running a successful nba team. This FO couldn't even run an AAU team into a championship
-
Paolo, Jalen, and Jabari will be taking 90% of the shots

Fits it better than Trae?
Melo and its not even close, plus he can dunk.

The players dont like/respect Trae.. This isnt anything new....
They voted Lamelo 3 spots ahead of Trae.. Wow.. Trae's having a down year, but Melo hasnt even played much...
Melo is better entertainment for this exhibition game of show boating and globetrotter ball. He fits the game to the eyes. Ultimately we want Trae to be an olympian.

Like I said, I wasn't comparing Trae to Curry.
You were saying that Trae is a liability and a team can never win a ring with Him. I said, pundits said the same thing about Trae. Hell, they said the same thing about Iverson too. Iverson was 6 ft 165. The only thing that stopped him from winning the Chip was HIM, His GM, and Shaq/Kobe. IF Iverson's Philly team would have faced anybody else but the Lakers, they would have won the chip. Remember, the Lakers were 12-0 in the playoffs when they played Philly in the Finals. They won 4-1...
Iverson was measurably Smaller than Trae. Played in a more physically demanding NBA. So your point that the size means he can't win is poppycock. In fact, had Trae not gotten Hurt, we would have bounced Milwaukee and beaten Phoenix in the finals. Milwaukee beat us 4-2 and Trae only played in 1 game.
Your trade requests are stupid Dog. But I get it.. you don't respect the man that has just matched Magic in 30/10 games... in his 5th year. Magic played 13 seasons. In 5 Seasons, Trae caught him. Right now, Trae is probably already a hall of famer... and you want to trade him for a pocket knife and some diggum snacks. Keep that energy.
Ok Diesel you live by could've, would've should've.
If Trae had not gotten hurt the Hawks would have run away against Milwaukee because they couldn't adjust and the Hawks would've beaten the Suns because Milwaukee beat them. Nevermind matchups.
Sure he did something Magic has done. Magic also won a chip in his rookie year. If you wanna talk about speed to getting somewhere in history. He put that team over the hump. Took them back the following year just to make sure it was no fluke. Im sure somewhere Zubac has broken a HOFer record somewhere.

Several people said the same about Curry. Not that Trae is Curry but opinions are like ...... everybody has one and most of them stink.
I mean, Curry is 6"3, 6"4 in shoes. He got bigger, he can guard a 6"6 Dillon Brooks. He can move off screens, bounce off bodies and still have the strength and stamina to get open, shoot and turn around before the shot goes in. Comparing Trae to Curry is what got us here. We thought he was the second coming of Curry at Oklahoma when he shot 30 footers.
Trae is great on offense. But it means absolutely nothing if you're giving the points right back. That's a .500 team. If we could ship him and Collins to OKC for SGA or look to this draft for a top #3 pg team wouldn't need to score 120 a night to win

That's true if you continue to hope that they can play together in this offense. For that to really work, we need more movement. What we have done is replace Bogi and Kevin with DJ... That's not fair to DJ. This is the reason why I ask for new coaching. Nate's a good coach. He just is who he is. He's not going to change his style of offense and he's not going to let anybody else run it. IF it were possible for Nate to let D'Antonio handle the offense and he handle the defense like Remember the Titans, we'd be a great team.. but Nate's not built for that.
Trae is what he is dude. A liability and that will just never work when you're aiming for a ring. You can't turn this team into GSW, Miami, Boston defensively. Hunter and DJ are it. I think we need a coach (Ime) to come and run this whole weak FO of latte brothers. Also I hate so much Nick Ressler is a part of this I wanna whoop his arse that much, god his face is so punchable!
Anyway, in a dream world have Udoka come in, trade Trae and Collins, get a dog in this upcoming draft, get some free agents and run this show.

1. Yes. we did trade Luka. OK.
2. Popularity is only mentioned because his Popularity keeps butts in seats and for the ownership, that's a bigger prize than somebody like Kawhi.
3. he doesn't have to be 6'6". Does he??
Last I checked... Luka has gone no farther than us. And the reason Luka has "nothing" around him is because he couldn't get along with the other players Dallas Had. They had a very talented Center but Luka didn't like him and had him shipped to Washington. Unfortunately Luka will keep Dallas good enough to never get anything useful out of the draft... and because of Luka's Dominance, he's never going to allow another player to be good enough to build up Trade capital.
They got nothing for Brunsen.
Wood looks good but they won't allow his skills to flourish.
Same is true of Dimwiddie and THJr and Finney Smith and Bullock.Luka has gone no further than us true. But Luka is top 3 in the NBA
All Luka needs is a number #2. He can get along with other players because I've seen him overseas win championships. Trae cannot get along with a coach. You're not afraid that we will have to play his style of ball until he's past his prime?
Its so very similar to Matt Ryan and the falcons. We all knew Matt Ryan was limited and we needed everything to be perfect around him to get close to winning. I just dont wanna be that fan where we feel lets hold on to Trae because he fit the culture of the city. The dogs are coming up in this years draft and I'd hate for us to blow it with this tacky FO who have kids who play soccer against one another. I couldn't stand Thomas Dimitrov and only talent being riding bicycles on trails

First off, nobody is going to trade what might be the best player in NBA history for anything. Let's say Charlotte wins the tankathon... Why would they do that? Why would Houston do that? Why would Orlando do that?
Secondly, we are not trading Trae. You may as well fix your mind now. He's easily the most popular Hawk ever. And he's not a bad player.
Third, A lot of great players go through something like this. Jordan did. Kobe did. It's called learning to win with a team. If you don't think there was an Iso Jordan period... you're fooling yourself.
The point is... whoever takes over the coaching for the Hawks will have to be the person who guides the team through all of this.
Lastly, it's also indicative of this generation of players. You see it in Ja. You see it in Luka. You see it in Mitchell. The thing is that National Media only shows the Highlights. So you see ever Ja Slam. But you don't get to see him shooting them out of the game. You see everytime Luka dipsy doos somebody.. but you don't see when he can't convert.
This is just a period thing.
First off, the Hawks traded Luka.
Secondly popularity doesn't equate to championships. Barkley was popular too. Marbury and Iverson were popular.
Third, Trae is not 6"6.
Lastly I saw Ja give his team an edge. A chip on their shoulders. I see mitchell making the cavs a better team. Luka has nothing around him and has a winning record in the west.
I have wrapped my mind around Trae, I get it, we're stuck. Its like Matt Ryan.

What if this circus of clueless friends and unproven front office somehow pulled a magic trick with another team, traded Trae and Collins and got Wemb #1? New coach Wouldn't have much trouble.
Murray x Wemb would be a serious threat
-
Trae wants the big fan response of hitting a big shot. Lil man just cant help himself. Overall in the five games he's played well though. Nice little 5 game run we had. On to start a new one

So kids soccer at a church brought the guys together and formed the Hawks front office of guys with no experience. Just coffee, soccer, and two guys who once hooped. This is so Atlanta. Team really needs an East Coast make over with a passionate owner. Feels like Todd and the Chrisleys are running the team
-
A 6ft social media PG, a completely clueless and cheap owner, and his son runs a professional basketball team. What could possibly go wrong? Where are the titles coming from?
Your #1 is in this years draft but how do we get to him?

You know after years of Tony Resseler saying he’s not afraid of the luxury tax…when it came down to him proving it, he failed the whole organization and team.
He didn’t even take a chance on the team. I thought as a hawks fan once we heard an owner of our favorite team publicly putting it out there that he’d do what’s best for the team even if that meant paying luxury tax then I thought that’s what we’ll get but I’ll never be fooled by that garbage again. Credit @JayBirdHawk …she was the one poster I recall that kept saying “we’ll see”
Tony just learned what to say to the media and knew hawk fans would listen to it and buy into it due to the history of poor ownership..… unfortunately Tony can be added to the list of failed Hawks owners. At this point at least to me he’s a compulsive liar! He just easily bent the truth to keep the belief strong because he wasn’t facing the action of proving himself.
I saw someone compare Tony Resseler to Jerry Jones in terms of trying to run things for betterment of their franchise but see there’s a difference even there …Jerry loves his cowboys and always has similar to Dr. Buss for the Lakers. Sometimes they make bad mistakes but Money is no object for their franchises. Tony Resseler cannot be mentioned in the same breath as those two. He don’t have the same passion for Atlanta and that’s unfortunate.
At least with the ASG you KNEW they were cheap. Wasn’t no setup or public interviews of bullshit like Tony has done……Gearon and those guys made it known they were cheap asses! Didn’t sugarcoat a thing!….and looking back at it now , while the ASG definitely frustrated me and I’m sure many others…..I can at least say that I appreciate the honesty!
A few of our insider folks once said that Hawks org are lurkers here on the Squawk. Well I sure hope someone close to Resseler see this so maybe he sells the team to a passionate Atlanta owner. He’s not True to Atlanta. This is nothing but another investment to him. We talk so much about Trae, Mcmillian, Collins, Schlenk, Fields and others but the guy who sits at the top should be talked about more.
Fire Mcmillian is alive and well ….when will it be time for the sale the team Resseler movement to start ???
I guarantee coaching staff lurks on here and I know Trae daddy is on here. And Trae is KD lite on social media

Yes it is. Its about time we start putting him front and center. The guy knows absolutely nothing about basketball. He's probably a simp. Star came up big off of him.

I honestly feel he is strong physically but he himself is soft. he lacks the effort to use his natural real strength and because of this he plays soft. It's what pisses me off so much about him because i know it's there i have seen it before.
Just watch Hunter high school tapes and yeah he's been passive. Skinny and passive. His nba muscle is fraud

It's evident.
Clint is the most important "other" on our team.
We miss his defense.
We miss his interior rebounding.
hell, we miss his PNR.
I hate to say it but if we had Clint, we would have won the last 4 games.
What if they had Wiggins and Curry? What if we had Clint? Not sure its a guaranteed victory considering GSW do not lose at home no matter the opponent
Trae and DJM snubbed from All Star game

I think Miami series had a lot to do with it. The Houston game had something to do with it, the interview that went viral IMO. We're finding out players dont like coach killers and neither do coaches.
