Trae game does not translate well to international play and there is a reason he is not invited. Those coaches have been around basketball much longer than any of us fans. They have seen everything in person and up close than you think you have seen on television. 

International game plays heavy, hard-core, physical zone. They play multiple 7 footers at once who can shoot the three. They play 6"6 guards who constantly move without the ball and can shoot the three on some catch and shoot. You have to know how to play defense to even keep up.

If teams made Kobe, Wade, and LeBron work and have 100pts dropped on their heads, what do you think they will do to a 6ft 160lb guard who is known as WOAT defender? 

You cannot go overseas with that FIBA ball, with FIBA rules, and FIBA physicality thinking you can jump into defenders and get to the line. You cannot go overseas and expect the floor to be spaced out like the nba and think you can just penetrate anytime and throw up a lob with two 7footers in the paint.

@TheNorthCydeRises it's no knock on Trae but he can't shoot. And overseas guards make buckets. Rubio is a better guard than Trae across the pond. One because he's bigger, two, he shoots better, and three, he plays with the guys long enough to know every passing lane and where his cutter are going. You cannot insert Trae into a thrown together lineup against international talent. They play physical, he can't jump his way to the line, and they play zone very well. You're not gonna be a 28 AND 10 overseas bro

I lived in Madrid for 6 years and went to several games through those years. Even the street ballers are nice and play a completely different style than NY playground hoopers. 

@MarylandHawk Trae is pretty much Iverson 2.0 bro. We have already seen Iverson play international ball and it was ugly. We just need Trae to stay here and focus on Hawks 

@RedDawg#8 FIBA has never been about the best players. It's about players that fit the style of international play. Trae style most definitely does not fit FIBA style.

He cannot get on the line like he does in the nba

He cannot shoot the three. They play zone and the ball is different. 

He cannot play defense. In FIBA there is constant movement offensively and Trae has to fight screens galore. 

FIBA won't let dribble dribble dribble your way to alley hoops

We'll see. If you watch the playoffs and deep playoffs you see the best defense and the greatest athletes in the world making tough, gritty plays against the best in the world. 

Ask yourself, do the Hawks currently have anyone on their team with true grit? I look at Murray wrapped up with a strong ass LeBron end of the game. Can our guards do that? Will these coaches do it?

Try to get rid of all of them. Hawks don't even have a Maxey on their squad. 

Watching these playoffs its obvious the Hawks have no one on their team like a Randall, a Rui, Looney, Tucker, or Jokic, Draymond.

His heart, grit, and passion for every possession makes him a winner. Take away Trae and Murray. You cannot name one guard on the Hawks bench who is better. Sexton could start easily for this Hawks team. He's a Snyder type player.

Collin Sexton will easily give you offense off the bench. Boston would be a walking bucket under Quinn. He's already had a better game against the Celtics than Hunter. 

They're both young. Hawks have no player like Boston or Sexton who are raw, fearless, and confident. Snyder type players. Hawks need young dogs offensively who can keep up with todays NBA speed

Collin Sexton is a winner. Wants to play regular season ball.

Watching the Warriors play and the speed they play and move the ball and move without, only one guy on this team can keep up and that's DJM all day. 

Build the team around Murray 

@NBASupes a 6 footer hitting a floater over anyone 6"3 and up is impressive. Portis is very tall and Lopez is a giant to the avg man shopping in Publix 

Schlenk wanted a Curry, Draymond, and Klay so bad out East. The Curry is th woat defensively and can't shoot 3s, the Draymond got out of shape and playing in Asia? And the Klay is playing against the real Klay on another team and is holding his own. Only Atlanta 

Trae is good, not great. 

He's an all star per Hawks standard but not a superstar or olympian by far. 

He's a 2 not a 1
