Say what???? We are obviously on very different ends of the Beverley spectrum. Again - buying into a role of being a vet that does not get a lot of playing time ... exactly what some of the guys on this team need. Trae would absolutely have to sign off on having someone like this around tho lol. Outside of a handful of players, by all public records that I have heard or read, former teammates have nothing but positive things to say about playing with the guy.

If he buys into the role. Pat Bev and it’s not even close for me.

AJ is the only untouchable on this team outside of Trae to me. I think he is going to be special.

Unless we can get porzingis to sign an extension as soon as he’s traded - I’d pass. Assuming no other major moves - we’d be going into the offseason with Porzingis, OO, and Murray all needing new deals. That’s a major risk given that we’ve traded those FRPs.

Without a trade up, my top 2 would be … 1) Cason Wallace (doubtful he falls to us, but would be ecstatic) 2) Dariq Whitehead

I caution buying his shooting in an open gym when we’ve seen nothing close to shooting/high level touch in live game reps. Too many examples of it not translating.

That’s where I am. If Quinn believes he can make it work - I’d like to keep Murray. if he doesn’t or thinks there is a better fit - then he would support making a move for a win now player … not something that won’t make us better.

Wonder if the doors are open to some type of JC + deal for Lauri M. Wasn’t that a rumor early on last year? It’s dealing with Ainge - so i doubt it is a reasonable price, but he’d be a nice fit.

He’d make bridges better too. Trae - Bridges - Hunter - Collins - OO is a team that could do some damage, and compliments each other very well. + the additional cap space with bridges versus max/super max brown.

Watching this reminds me why I would rather pair Bridges with Trae than Jaylen … if the price is the same. Particularly at the salary points for each.

Looks loosely like something I mentioned a week or so ago, but that Houston package was getting routed to BKN for Bridges.

Rebounding would be a problem if DFS is your starting front court if we move from Capella as well

For our 2nd … 1) Reece Beekman. Nothing overtly stands out, but watching him … he just seems like he’s going to be a standout backup PG. Tyus Jones archetype. He seems completely capable of running the second unit at a high level with good D. I believe he could have a solid 10+ year career. 2) Daron Holmes. Didn’t measure “great” for a center. But I think He has enough size/athleticism and good enough hands to be a really steady back up 5 in the league for a long time. for 2nd rounders that’s all I could ask for. With that said, I really like Reece in our spot.

I think his real value is 4/80, but some team probably would offer 4/100 or so. I think we paid FMV and did not get a “good” deal … just a fair one.

So far so good. Hope the bobcats get the 4th and Houston the 3rd. Everything would’ve gone as well as I could’ve asked if that happens.

I could see Wendell being a target. Could play with or without OO like the 2 big lineups Quin used to run with gob + favors. but he’s just solid. Not anything close to a splash or a “BAB”

Honest question - who is a difference making 5 in the modern NBA? Embiid and Joker (who aren’t available) and … ?

I get the injury risks involved - but seeing a 1-2 of Trae + MPJ would be fun to watch. Bombs away! Surround those 2 with some quality 3D type guys … good times. Trae / Hunter / MPJ / DFS / OO I’ve beaten the Siakam drum for probably 3-4 years now, but he turns 29 soon and will be looking for a 4-5 year max. I have concerns there. would love mikal, but he isn’t attainable.
