Rome didn't lie. Even I heard Knick fans bringing up scenarios about how they could at least get to the ECFs after winning Game 2. Beating the Hawks and Philly was a foregone conclusion to them. Riiiiight...

Trae was Johnny Cage and Julius was Goro...

The Hawks were the Four Horsemen and poor Ju Ju was Dusty Rhodes...

Clint Capela scrambling eggs in Spike Lee's kitchen this morning and asking him did he want some breakfast like he was Melvin in Baby Boy effed me up for a hot minute. If he would've did the Dave Chappelle skits with Prince serving Charlie Murphy pancakes, I might've been in ICU right now...

Oh man. Oh Jesus. I didn't see this until now. My head hurt. I need a baby aspirin. Seriously. My daughter just checked to see if I was okay and I showed her this video and now she's laughing hysterically alongside me...

That part did make me pause the video because I was laughing so hard...

I'm trying to pull up the memory banks and the only one more satisfying was them advancing to their first ECFs in 2015. Besides that, maybe the Orlando series? Beating Detroit in '86 (first playoff series win since the '70s), only to run into the Boston buzzsaw days later?

So it's official. I won't be watching another live Hawks game until next season; Mrs Dejay will see to that. I watched The History Channel (The Titans who Built America is good) until 10:15 when I knew that it was over and voila, another blowout victory. In my 40+ years of watching Atlanta sports, I've never seen a team in the postseason tell an opponent that they were going to be sent home in their house. In doing so, they went from being regarded as a league punchline into a very real threat to possibly win a world title. Not just for the remainder of this season but for seasons to come. Safe to say, I'll be up early to watch First Take and scroll the Knicks message boards to hear the weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. This is going to be a fun few days...

I still remember the Game 6 in 1988 and it was the same feeling I had after Game 6 of last year's NLCS, Game 6 of '91 World Series, and SBLI. Even though there was still a Game 7, I already knew that the season was over and was proved right each time with only one exception (1995). Let's not take any chances tonight...

He's Kevin Joseph Huerter...

Exactly. I fully expected the fix to be in today, especially on ABC. That's where the big boys play, like WCW used to be...

The human victory cigar is in the house. I did as Mrs. Dejay suggested by not watching until the game was over; hell, it worked in 2015. You do realize what they have just done. Not only did they curbstomp an NBA 'favorite' but did so on Sunday afternoon on ABC. I believe that this is their first win on that network since 2010. This wasn't some fly by night, wake me when the boring is over matchup against the Horcats or Kings that no one cares about. The entire country got to see what we have cooking down here. And the Knicks, their fans, the national media, and execs in Adam Silver's office probably don't like what's being served on the grill right now...

I basically said this before the series started that the fix was in. The league execs and their TV partners (Disney and Tine Warner) want absolutely nothing to do with the Hawks seeing daylight in the second round and beyond. You can only imagine what BS they have in store for Sunday, especially on ABC. The Hawks winning that game would be a nightmare scenario for them and the national media who are still salty that Atlanta got the Olympics back in '96. They'd better blow doors on them the rest of the way...

The Replay Center for Game 4 will be the responsibility of Greg Anthony, Anthony Mason, and John Starks. The league wants things called fair and square... It happened. I damn near fell on the floor...

The officials have been announced for Game 4: Dave Hebner, Earl Hebner, and Derek Jeter
