  1. Yeah we drafted the dude in shorts....smh...
  2. And that sounds like a much more realistic offer.
  3. Did anyone just the Doncic's interview on ESPN? Imma be real sad if we don't end up with him now.
  4. This is the darkest timeline so I'm refusing to believe it.
  5. JJJ and Young scream bust to me. And those seem to be the two most prevalent rumors so far. It's gonna be a long month til the draft....
  6. He mentioned JJJ and one other player....either way, JJJ is the darkest timeline IMO. I'm so not impressed by him, and this rumor has been permeating for months. I swear if we pass on Bagley or Doncic for him....Let's just say I'd rather see the trae young experiment at 3 than JJJ.
  7. As dysfunctional as we are, how in the world would he want to play in Sac over ATL?
  8. Yeah, I don't like Young in the top 10. I'm hoping the Doncic rumors are true and he drops to 3. I'm 50/50 on Bagley/Doncic so I don't see how we can mess this up unless we do something truly stupid like take trae at 3.
  9. Time to test all the site functionality...woohoo.
  10. It's definitely not. The hot take on who PHX is going to take has changed every day since the lottery. It's all speculation right now.
  11. Easily at 3. Dream scenario. I still think Doncic goes #1 to the suns, but who knows at this point.
  12. I hope we get longer than an hour this time around....even now I'm getting intermittent errors.
  13. Reports say Sac is taking Ayton/Doncic no matter what. That leaves Bagley unless we try to move up which doesn't seem plausible.
  14. So what's optimal plan at this point? Bagley at 3, and somehow package Dennis and a pick to move back into the lottery for Sexton? That's the best I can think of. Sexton Baze Prince Bagley Collins wouldn't be a bad starting 5. We might also give up 140 a night.
  15. Cool. I looked up a few segments he did while a 76ers assistant. He seems well spoken and looks the part of a leader. Can't way to see how we scheme. I wonder what he's going to do for assistants....I hope Ham gets the chance to stick around.
  16. And its official. What's the deal with this guy other than a few years in Philly? I feel like I know less about him than all the other candidates...
  17. I still worry about Doncic's competition level and size, but I think if we had the first pick we have to take him. Ayton's D scares me, so who do we take if it comes down to him and Bamba as the best available when we pick? I like MPJ if we fall outside the top 3 just due to size and the fact that he looks like he could be a star. Even watching him struggle when he came back, you can tell that he will be big and fast and able to score. I'm not sold on Bagley or JJJ. I think I would rather see the Trae Young experiment than those guys.
  18. Ugh it's working though, isn't it? I'd be stoked if we drafted Bamba and I was not high on him at all around their tourney elimination.
  19. Not really 5 years of misery. Most of the actual Philly fans I know were excited as much as 2/3 seasons ago since they knew what the potential was going to be with Embiid. Even now, I think I'm more excited about the Hawks than I have been since the 60 win season. Don't make it out like everyone is miserable bro.
  20. The way I see it, we've got some key vets right now with Baze, Dennis, and Prince. I'm not sure who we add or what that looks like this season, but I know we're going to have at least two rookies who should be getting minutes to go along with them. I think we have good culture when it comes to player personnel, and any sort of optimism has us landing a coach who is a good fit with that. Either way, we get to see what Collins is really made of, whether or not Prince takes the next step, and our shiny new draft pick. Oh, and a new coaching regime. At the very least, I think I'll be entertained regardless of our record this season and the team will have a good framework for 2019.
  21. You really think a guy who hops in to head coach in the middle of the season is going to be able to make real adjustments? Anyone who has done any kind of people management knows you can't change culture/effort/strategy overnight.
  22. Really though, I don't even think we are out for more than another year or two if we nail this draft pick. The East has gotten marginally better, but we're realistically a good draft pick or two away from being better than Miami and Washington. I mean, who could've predicted that the Pacers were going to have the season they did? I feel like I'm a little bit more optimistic than some of the board. I'm not even that bummed about Bud leaving as long as the next coach we hire can draw up an inbounds play. That ish was soooooo frustrating to watch sometimes. I don't think we're really in contention for another 5 years (But I also don't think Philly is a real contender either, I mean they only beat Miami, big deal.....). Young players take time. But I do think watching Collins and whoever we end up with our first pick or two is going to be super exciting next year regardless of our record.
  23. That's so sad, too. I really hope once Baze's contract is up he re-signs at a much cheaper option. Dude is great for culture, just not worth nearly his cap hit. I'd like to see him as a Hawk the rest of his career.
