  1. Still its fake news. There have been more credible reports out mentioning that there is a market for Dennis. The issue why he's still here is that ressler and the fo value him higher than the market.
  2. I hop onto the bandwagon!! As down as I was on Prince at the beginning of last season as high am I now. The work he puts in this offseason is off the charts. He trained with Tatum and Embiid and a bunch of other pros in LA and pushing weights night in night out. Other than that I'm pretty sure we'll see some stellar performances from Dennis in the beginning because I'm sure as hell he doesn't want to be traded for pennies on the dollar or to a team as back up. In hindsight I think we did well in the draft and I have high hopes that a duo of young and hierher actually pans out. Dedmon will be solid as always. My baby boo John Collins gon be a jump-shooting pogo stick this year. I expect his usage to go up tremendously and that he gets comfortable to spot up shoot throughout the season. About Lin I can't say much other than he seems to be a really nice presence to be around and that he's pretty solid. The only guy I'm down on is Bembry this year. Totally misjudged him last year by expecting massive jumps of improvement. I think he'll always have more dnp - injury than good games. You simply can't develop by being off the court 80% of the time. Overall I guess a outcome of 26 wins
  3. Man I freaking hate those guys. The negativity they spread around makes me wanna punch the wall. Those guys are the heftiest Bud-d!ckriders I can recall and since BADenholzers exit they dismiss every move our fo did as wrong. What infuriates me just as much is that they think they're some kind of gods while answering in the comment-section, being as impolite and assholeish as it gets. F""king hate those guys
  4. To me its pretty obvious why he should keep shooting them IF hes able to knock down upwards from ~36%. Players have to respect his shot from way beyond the 3pt line. This leads to him stretching the floor nicely for all other players on our team. Just imagine how big of a hole arises around the freethrow-line. It makes us extremely tough to guard. Im all for it if he can make the shot every now and then.
  5. This thread never had the intent to call Pierce a bust. I simply tried to put traes stats into perspective. I just wanted to make sure everyone here gets that it's not all traes fault. It just as much the systems fault.
  6. Obviously you didn't read my whole point. I'm not solely blaming the coaching staff. Neither do I give up on the coaching staff or think they'll do wrong. I just think it's not the right way to start of with bad habits, not introducing the players to a system early and consequently see trae already losing confidence in his abilities. Its more a point of view and a different psychological approach.
  7. Man neither do I. The thing that's bothering me is that they aren't exactly boosting traes confidence by not giving him any kind of system. As I said before traes whole game builds on his confidence. Atm he's left alone on an isle with the media and the fans having tremendously high aspirations. I just don't think psychologically it's the right way to introduce your new pg to the city
  8. What's going on with Pierce and the coaching staff? I at least blame 50 percent of the bad play on them. You could see all those other squads following some kind of game plan even though they too have almost only new players on their summer league rosters. We on the other hand rely only on iso and chucking the ball. That whole rushing the ball gets you nowhere when you run into a packed paint 9/10 times. I understand the stafd needs time too and I'll give em that, but I'd encourage yall to not solely blame trae for his bad play. I hope Pierce and the staff figure out some kind of system to play in Vegas otherwise the bad habits and scores will continue. For a player whose relying on confidence as much as a 30ft shooter its severely unsettling to not have any plays for some easy buckets.
  9. Opinions differ Haha EXACTLY that face
  10. Gotta say I'm as happy as can be with Bud leaving our Hawks. Imo his coaching ability was always overrated whereas the actual talent level of the Hawks roster always got underrated, simply because of the Hawks being a small market team. He cost us way too many games in the last stretch of the season. With a good coach we would've ended the season losing out. You know part of being a good coach is to put things into perspective and plan how to coach your roster to the top longterm. The only thing I'll miss is his face of pure cluelessnes when something didn't go his way. Good riddance Bud!
  11. I gotta say he didn't intend to bust the Hawks at all. Its the adolescent recklessness he still carries. He was happy and put praise on the Hawks, his life and basketball in general. The thing is he needs an agent that tells him the do's and dont's in publicity. For example in another part of the interview he was asked how far he thinks the German national team can go in the next international tournament. He starts answering it by "I don't want to put any pressure on my team that's why I won't set any goals on how far we should go" and ends it by saying "but we should play for a medal. Thats what we should aim for". All in all it just paints a picture of a young player who never got teached in professional behaviour. He tries to make good statements but always drops a clanger
  12. He just said on tv in an interview that he actually didn't sit out against Detroit because of his back but because Bud simply didn't want him to play. The lower back issue was just an excuse. I know we all knew this on game day but its hilarious and makes me curious if that statement can have some kind of consequences for the hawks.
  13. Can someone tell me what happened to Prince. Jeez that guy is unplayable
  14. I mean that's what you get with the hawks. Our franchise has the second worst record and there is no stand out player. We have no Evans or Mirotic who performs out of his mind for multiple games. We only have inconsistent average veterans.
  15. Man it doesn't even bother me to see the percentages. What bothers me is to see the game start and there are factually like 20 people in the stands. Is there no way to improve for the city on this bullcr*p? What's different with ATL United that people actually attend their games? Are the ticket prices too steep? The wages of Atliens too low? I can't recall a city in Germany which surrounds a collective disinterested in sports. In every city we have just about the same type of people on average. Granted I'm not sure how attendance would look if our soccer team played more often on weekdays. In the end it just makes me sad. Players won't ever identify as fast and much with the city as elsewhere because there's a great lack of interest. I can't see a superstar caliber player saying "I want to bring a ship to ATL" because people won't care that much anyway. I think that's actually the thing why nobody wants to play for Atlanta. There is nobody youre playing for but the money.
  16. I know this has been an issue since always but throughout those last couple of games I wonder if the Hawks even make sense from a financial standpoint because there are like 200 people attending a game. What are the issues other than the history of atlanta sports and the rebuild. Can someone from the area explain? Are their any ways to improve attendance or interest? As a German it's strong meat to see that. The average attendance in the soccer stadium of my city is about 50.000 people. Its always packed even though the amount of traffic is even higher than in atlanta, the highest in germany.
  17. I love how they dismantle the easy schemes were running every time we meet them. I'm anxious to see how the third quarter will be. Thats were we'll see whether coach bud adjusts or not. Edit: gotta say the raptors watched our last game from the stands and are therefor perfectly prepared
  18. Love how it says -18 wins. Would leave us with something like 2 wins at seasons end lol
  19. I feel like many people on this board want to hold on to a player (as in example Baze) as soon as he plays good ball when it really should be the time to sell high on them.
  20. See and that's the thing. I personally like Ayton the most followed by Doncic. There wasn't nor will there ever be a decision which we all are going to agree with. I think the best idea is to give whoever he picks enough time to develop before smashing Schlenk
  21. No you need one exceptional player on the roster to get anywhere. There's really no way around that. To be successful you need to draft a superstar or get him through FA. We have no chance through FA. We only have the draft as option and the highest odds of getting that superstar were craving for is at the top. Its that simple.
  22. I feel like Doncic and Ayton are the two players who have the biggest chances of becoming stars in this draft hence why I want to secure a top 2 pick in this years draft. Everyone else afterwards seems like more of a gamble. Maybe there will be a player who does just as good as them but in the end as AHF said the odds are the highest. I mean just think of how in most years draft position materializes. A guy is set at position number one because most managers see him there. Why do they see him there? Because he seems to be the bpa. Its just common sense that players who are categorised as possible superstars are more of a sure thing than a less valued player whose ranked 14th or whatever
