  1. It would be a crim to take Paul 2nd. Clearly everyone sees this as a two player draft. Saying that I want Marvin, but can live with Paul, but dont draft him at two. If everyone wants Marvin dont let them have them, make them pay. You are in the situation to use the wants of others. You must not be good at business sense. If you have one of two products that everyone wants you dont just give it to them and let them have it for free. I want Marvin, but I agree we need a pg and seeing Paul lob it to Smoove would be nice, but dont draft him at two its a must trade down. Even if it is a second rounder this year, though it should be a first or talent. Maybe Maglorie from New Orleans you have ot get something for that 2nd pick in a 2 pick draft. There are only two spots teams really want
  2. Didnt do well under pressure? Diesel you have finally lost it, and I mean completly lost it. Can you answer me one question? Who put a tip in to clinch the National Title this year? So final minute of the national title game no pressure uh. Why did Roy play him the final 5 minutes of every UNC game? Only because he hit 90% of his free thows. Missed setting a NCAA record by tenths. So a PF that makes his free thows, gee could have used one of those last year. Pressure look who hit the last 4 free throws against Duke your biggest rival to seal the game. Yep the guy you say cant handle pressure.
  3. I'm sure most of you have already seen this, but ESPN has a then and now draft selection for the past 10 years. It shows the enitre lottery that was picked, and then looking at todays stats who should have been picked. I will be happy if BK gets two top 7 talents again. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft2005/n...ge=redraft/2004
  4. Diesel I get really bothered by your constant guessing and spewing. You site your opinions as fact. You stated above that it was know Smoove was better in high school. Did you ever see them play against each other? In that case I'll take the word of Chris Ballard. Read the latest SI and there is a Draft section. The article is clearly biased toward Williams since thats who the article is about. One of the authors trong points was that one NBA exec was quoted as saying "His naysayers are primarliy guys who watched him only at UNC. His believers are those of who saw him play in the summer between his junior and senior year of high school, when he was playing against guys like Dwight Howard and Josh Smith. He wiped the floor with Josh Smith." Dont get me wrong I am the biggest NO.5 fan out there, but if someone can wipe the floor with smooth I would like to see them play togther in a fast paced game. Maybe trade Al/Diaw/and one of next years 1st to NO and get either Paul or Williams to run the horses.
  5. Diesel is once again spouting off with no clue. So you hate to see a 7' center shooting threes. Apperently you watched an amazing game, since looking at Bogut's stats to date he has only attempted 13 threes all year (4/11 all of last year). So did he take all 13 in the Arizona game? oh wait a minute Diesel look at the box score Bogut 2/4 from three. So he took 4 threes and made 2. Yep hate to see my big man step out there all game and chuck threes. I mean all 4 of them from a guy shooting a better % from there then anybody on the Hawks. Sat out there and did nothing? I guess below when it says he likes to stay at home to get on the glass is wrong too, uh? For good measure, an unbiased opinion: Scouting Report: Many believe him to be the top player in the nation ... Was on NBA scouts' radar screens before he ever even arrived at Utah ... Widely expected to enter the draft after his sophomore campaign, and a projected lottery selection ... Has incredible hands ... Snatches rebounds like he has Velcro attached to them ... Possesses a dynamic low post game ... Great drop step ... Shoots a high percentage because he can set himself up so well down low with his footwork ... Extremely fluid, he has as much finesse as he does brawn with his back to the bucket ... Possesses excellent touch to complete his execution ... Range extends out to beyond the 3-point arc ... Tremendously gifted passer at 7-0 ... Owns a great feel for the game ... Highly productive shot-blocker, but perhaps not as prolific as one might hope ... Not a run/jump athlete, and prefers to stay at home defensively to keep himself in rebounding position.
  6. With C Webb going to Philly they have their PF now, so we can forget any of those trade rumors.
  7. The article said that Curry's agent said he would not play for Scott Skiles. Forcing Paxson to choose between Curry and Skiles, and it is appearent that Paxson sides with Skiles and moving Chandler to center. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap.php#1108934584
  8. Anybody read the first article on RealGM.com right now. It seems Curry is most likely on his way out of ChiTown. I like Bogut, but what if we moved Curry to PF his more naturally position being 6'10 and sign a shooter like Johnson. We would have the beef we need and the outside shooting. If Bogut does come along slowly we could move Curry back to C and bring Bogut in off the bench. So maybe a walker/harrington/delk/2nd rd pick (we have 3) for curry/davis/1st rd pick. Bulls move Curry and Davis contract and pick up two huge pieces for their playoff run this year and with most of the top picks this year being guards Bulls are loaded there with young players (hinrich, gordon, deng, duhon) c- bogut/ekezie/collier pf- curry/Drob/ekezie Sf- smoove/d. smith/diaw sg- chillz/smoove/diaw/2nd rd pick (hopefully selene stoudamire) pg- Diaw/bulls pick(maybe Felton if he drops a bit,jack,giddens)/Ivey Maybe sign a couple of FA's but I like this lineup, big and defense, which should make BK and Woodson very happy. Two bigs in there clogging up the middle and Smoove with back side help for blocks. Need a shooter like Joe Johnson or Selen Stoudamire somebody, but I like this lineup
  9. Diesel, Big Sammy is a free agent to at the end of this year. So who is to say he is in Philly's future. On top of that apprently he is in the dog house up there and that is why he wasnt getting the playing time. One fantasy site actually said they were shopping him and his minutes would soar elsewhere. So now they are trading someone that doesnt see eye to eye with the coach, and could be gone at the end of the year. For Tione which would provide a great complement for Thomas, AI, and Korver and be a fresh face to the team. So Diesel now that you final have some input other then your tunnel vision world of trades you think will happen just because the trade checker at RealGM says so (which is strictly salary based) and not on any reality, what is wrong with this trade from both sides of the fence.
  10. I think Walker doesn't get set at the line and this is a major problem. Watch next time he is at the line, every shooter I have ever played with or watched lines the seams up on the ball, usually horizontally. Gripping the ball this way gives it a natural feel and shot for optimal rotation. When Walker gets the ball he just grabs it. Every time he shoots his hands are another place and he never lines the seams. He shot one the other night with his hand on the point were the seams come together. Not syaign this is a solution, but if you watch no other player in the league does this.
  11. I agree Al needs some work, but he is only 24 he would just now be finishing up college had he gone. How bout just three assist short of a triple double tonight. 17pts 10rebs 7ast. I'll take that out of a SF any night.
  12. Why is everyone bringing up Fizer? Yes he is a banger and a tough guy but he is a SF, may be able to play PF just because of strength, but by no means could he play C. I think everyone would agree we have enough SF and already Harrington, who is a SF that can bang down low and post up so why get another. Im not knocking Fizer I really like his game, with all of his intensity, but he wouldnt fit in with our current roster.
  13. According to cbssportsline we are not giving up a first round pick, but instead gaining one from Dallas in the deal. I think everyone needs to just wait till tommorrow and see what happens. http://www.sportsline.com/nba/story/7548158
  14. I dont understand where people are coming from saying Walker is a problem in the locker room. Everywhere he has been he has been seen as a leader. Last year in Dallas he did whatever Nellie asked him to do to help the team out, he even started some games at center in an experpiment midseason. Yes he might shoot alot of threes but he at least has alot of heart and is going to strive to win. He will hustle and get on the yougner guys if they are not putting the effort in. He is also a very underrated passer. I think the tandem of Harrington inside and Walker outside good be good. What everybody is forgetting is that it is his contract year. Walker is going to do his best to impress everyone in the league to sign a deal. Would you rather have Henderson sitting on the bench or Walker on the floor playing and trying? Thats money at work and not worthless. If he plays big, we might get alot for him in a trade or maybe even resign him. If not at least we had money on the floor and not at the end of the bench.
