  1. They have bird rights to PG, so they can exceed the cap to resign him. Melo has picked up his option to stay. OKC is a double offender of the Luxury Tax so look for them to be trying to dump some salary.
  2. Because OKC did a masterful job the moment he got there to make him feel wanted and convinced him to stay.
  3. Besides PG going home to LAL was never contingent on LBJ going there. He told the Pacers when he became a FA he had every intention of signing with LAL. LAL didn't want to give up assets for him.
  4. When have you known LBJ to tell anybody anything.
  5. Remember when LAL didn't want to give up assets for him since he was gonna sign with them as a FA?
  6. Plus the RFAs, I haven't perused the full list but I keep reading it's a better crop of FAs.
  7. Rookies and rest of team enjoying ATLUD win tonight.
  8. You missed the subtlety of the 'we got our PG' shoulda have been 'their PG' they wanted Trae baaaad. Mwhahaha
  9. Exactly, he shoulda yelled...'tool up' Straight ftom The Wire.
  10. I wonder what effect this may have on teams willing to pay the luxury tax as opposed to trading a 1st to dump salary?
  11. I'll see it when it comes out on DVD. Yeah, I can't do TH with the over the top stuff.
  12. That will also be the year alot of the 'cap jump contracts' get off the books. 2019 is supposed to have a better crop of FAs as well.
  13. Next year, I think is when we start to make a run in free agency. We have not seen what this draft class can do yet on the court. Schlenk also said, he's seen teams get impatient signing high dollar free agents to soon then by the time your draftees are ready for their new contracts you have to worry about the cap because you've overpaid a free agent too soon - see Orlando with Bizmack and now having to resign Gordon when they've also paud Fournier. I have zero interest in Cousins. He'll go to LAL with LBG. Pass on Beasley.
