  1. Speaking of Chicago, which I pronounce shy-ka-jo, there's some faint (emphasis on 'faint') twitter rumblings that Bill Donovan could be making eyes at a few college jobs (TX, TXTech). If that happens, doesn't CHI just blow it up? If so, any pieces off that carcass we can pick?
  2. Per twits, sounds like poor Lonzo Ball will have a 3rd surgery on the same knee for three same initial problem. They're expecting him to miss next season too. That's terrible news whether you'rea fan of his or not. Hope the guy can recover. This sounds career-threatening.
  3. Just an interesting Hawks-related note to share ... Hope they do some good in the community with this.
  4. JoeLLLL sounds great and all on paper. But there's a reason he's never been past the 2nd round despite being the arguabke most dominant big since Shaq. And it's not always (insert teammate's name) fault, as he wants everyone to believe.
  5. Aye,nobody make eye contact with @JayBirdHawk. Hey burd, what time's the Virginia.. I mean, the game tomorrow? Smooth...
  6. You misspelled Murray here, imho.
  7. The worst part is basically no one is even outraged. It's expected. Adam Sliver's NBA, folx. Where we're in bed with gambling ... as if that has no impact on game$$$$$.
  8. How? I'm speechless other than to ask .... how? NBA ain't even tryna hide it anymore. Adam Sliver can't be gone fast enough.
  9. And he should get more. He's 160lbs and the primary strategy to defend him is to be physical. It should surprise no one that a player in those circumstances complains. And the concept of continuation is interpreted differently when it comes to him, hence more complaints. As has been said, if it was interpreted the same for everyone, he's the one out of line. But we've seen this isn't the case. Snyder has made it a point to try to dissuade him from complaining. But it's not because it's unwarranted. It's because he knows it doesn't help us. So, long story long, we all want to see his complaining curtailed. But I'm not gonna tout a guy like SGA, who gets all the calls he wants, as if he's somehow got it all figured out. It's the equivalent of praising a guy for hitting a triple when he was born on 3rd.
  10. I'm in. Who's playing for 2nd?
  11. Kinda scary tho. Guy with no offensive skill complaining about touches? What TF would he do here, 'cause he for dang sure ain't gonna be part of the offense. And going from champagne dreams of JoeLLLL and Towns to schlitz malt liquor nightmares of Mitchell Robinson? That's like going from Nia Long to the 'Bye Felicia' chick from Friday. Wait, is that offensive? Should I apologize?
  12. That's how it ended up, sure. But I'm talking about being 'in the discussion', which includes some guys regardless of winnin'. Luka this year is a clear example of that. And, scouts honor, Im not tryna move the goal posts here. I thought that's what the initial discussion was. Wait, do you gotta be a scout to have scouts honor?
  13. This isn't true for some others. You thinking that's to overcome the 'Trae tax' that gets charged by folks that Judy don't care for him?
  14. You ain't wrong, but I do think the way he's playing now sets the stage for him to be mentioned next year, provided he plays similarly. And, of course, assuming we're winning at a higher level.
  15. I recall folks saying Snyder's hire could spell doom for Trae in Atlanta. Smh. Como se dice, 'wrong'?
  16. Haven't heard from the 'Murray better than trae' crowd in a while.
  17. Heeey, guise. Didja hear? Georgia Tech hired a coach today. Damon Stoudamire straight off the Selltics' bench. You're welcome, bois. Weakened the Seees for yall. Oh, there's a game tonight?
  18. Haha, Ja Morant gonna host the bachelor party at the sketchy strip club in Denver?
  19. I think my interest predated the Mary acquisition, no? Double-whammy. Weaken the Seeees, strengthen the Jsssssss. Wasn't on my radar as a possible choice. Now that I've had a chance to chew n' stew on it, I think it could be big for us. Fair or foul, each of the coaches coming from there have done well. GT needs a guy that can make waves in the ATL bball scene and he can certainly do that. He did admirably at his previous HC stop under difficult circumstances (since thats not a good job). Hoping he can step in and elevate us. I'm excited. Waiting to hear from @Sothron as he's a secret Selltic fan. Haha.
  20. Don't give people attention when they're clearly using bigger names for clout.
  21. Can't stay healthy tho. Shld be gettable for cheap-low.
