  1. Fair enough. If we’re at this point, then we must be completely out of any consolidation trades/roster upgrades. If that’s the case, then we must be going ALL IN on our youth development! Hope everybody does their homework this off-season and comes into camp meeting expectations. If not and we have a slow start (like we’ve had these past few years), we may be playing with fire and Trae rumors from the media. Yuck!
  2. Looks like they are working on moving OO to the 4. Makes sense with the JC move, and his shot looks great here! Hope it translates to the regular season, because if not, a frontcourt of OO and CC may be tough to watch. Keep up the great work OO!
  3. But why do this now and not closer to the deadline then? Is it a favor to Vit so he can get more playing time somewhere else? Was he not valuable enough to trade for some fake 2nds or even cash consideration (his next team is gonna LOVE him!)? If a move isn’t made before October, then this smells like cheap ownership to me regardless of it we use the TPE at deadline.
  4. Spike Lee must be a glutton for punishment. Spotted and grilled at the Braves game (Truist Park) watching Atlanta sports OWN New York!
  5. So sad… but true. For some reason only 1 of Luka/Trae is allowed to be praised because the media NEEDS to have winners and losers and not just prop up amazing talent. If I were Trae, I’d take Gilbert’s advice and start sending flowers to coaches/media. It’s politics baby!
  6. Yep! Feet issues on 7 footers are never a good thing. Want to see KP do well, but not in clover green.
  7. Vit did it again! This guy… I like this guy… Here are his highlights. The whip pass cross court @ 1:50 mark… so good!
  8. Thanks @JayBirdHawk and @macdaddy! When troubleshooting, it looks like the Twitter/X App on iPhone has the link as the following when you click share > copy link in the app (not working): https://x.com/atlhawks/status/1691435593933213696?s=46&t=8v2t8Tg0a87E2l7bs0NAiw However, when opening the tweet in a web browser (whether desktop, tablet, or mobile), the domain is still twitter.com and clicking share > copy link to post in a web browser works (the copied link is still using twitter.com). Relative URL below (add “https://twitter.com” to this relative URL below and the tweet embeds successfully): /ATLHawks/status/1691435593933213696?s=20 Here’s this relative URL (browser > twitter.com > tweet > share > copy link) working successfully using the twitter.com domain: This looks to just be an issue when trying to embed tweets from the app (or x.com), but tweet embeds still work if you are able to copy the tweet link from twitter.com on a web browser. There may be a problem embedding tweets once the browser domain switches over to x.com, but we’ll see. Thanks y’all for your help!
  9. @capstone21 Not sure why, but I’m having trouble embedding tweets (example below). When I go to Twitter/X app, I click share > copy link, then paste link directly into the post editor (this was working a couple days ago). Not working in default skin either. Is this only an issue on my end? If not, could it be related to the domain on tweet embeds changing from Twitter.com to x.com? Thanks in advance for your help and am looking forward to your reply! https://x.com/atlhawks/status/1691435593933213696?s=46&t=8v2t8Tg0a87E2l7bs0NAiw
  10. OH 100%! The Trae hate is real and the decision makers for those awards already made their minds up after the 1st half of his rookie season. When Trae had a slow start compared to Luka’s (primed off of Euroleague competition), there could only be 1 winner and they want it that way to not look like fools.
  11. Agreed! If he could keep up his 3p% with more shots and todays perimeter defense, it would truly be amazing to watch. I do wonder if Nash’s assist numbers would go up in today’s era. The assist stat is quite subjective and during his era there was speculation that assists were counted more often during home games (begging the question on whether assists were counted more leniently during home games). Not to say Nash’s assist counts weren’t accurate, but he played in an era where others (like Jason Kidd & Chris Paul) are questioned for some of their assist numbers.
  12. The Dwight comparison was in relation to offensive fouls due to his strength (never said Shaq would be like Dwight Howard). Shaq’s game was bully dominant and that wouldn’t fly in today’s era. Shaq would definitely be more productive than Dwight,, but wouldn’t be more successful than he was in his era. Zion has more finesse in his game than Dwight or Shaq and would likely have a more successful career in todays era (if he could stay healthy).
  13. 100%. My hierarchy of who would be more successful: Jordan in LeBron’s era: Offense would be tremendous due to hand checking, but I do believe he’d struggle more on defense. Regardless, it’s Jordan, he’s too competitive to not be the greatest. Nash in today’s era: 7-8 3’s per game, yes please. He’d have similar impacts like Trae Young today. LeBron in Jordan’s era: Less 3 point shooting plays to his strengths. Would love to see him play without the hand checking rule and wonder if he’d have as long of a career. Curry in Jordan’s era: less 3’s and not sure if he’d be athletic enough for this era. Shaq in today’s era: Today’s game needs players like this again, but his glaring FT weakness (hack a Shaq) would be exploited. His muscles would become a weakness (like we saw with Dwight Howard) and a lot of offensive fouls would likely be called in a weaker era.
  14. What do they know that we don’t… https://x.com/bookies/status/1691105432717389824?s=46&t=8v2t8Tg0a87E2l7bs0NAiw Tweet embeds aren’t working for me, but it has betting odds for James Harden’s next team: LAC: +500 ATL: +550 (WHAT?!?) MIN: +650 PHI: +750 MIA: +800
  15. “Previously on Harden Offseason 2023…” Harden (before offseason): Philly sucks! Houston was so much better AND they’re getting Wemby)!?! I wanna play there. Houston (before Udoka): Sweet! Harden is gonna be awesome with Wemby! Udoka (interview): Get your heads out of the clouds! It’s called a lottery for a reason. How could you give the max to a toxic Harden?!? I don’t want that guy anywhere near our young core. Houston signs Udoka. Harden: what do you mean you’re backing out of giving me the max?!? I’M JAMES HARDEN! F*** y’all, I’ll just get my money elsewhere. League: You’re toxic James. You need help. Harden: FINE! I’ll just get my money with Philly and demand a trade where I wanna go. Hey Morey, give me my money and trade me to the Clipps! Morey: What, you’re opting in (YES!!!)?!? I mean… yeah yeah, sure we’ll trade you wherever you wanna go (finger’s crossed). (WE’RE GOING ALL THE WAY!!!) Harden: Hey Westbrook, these idiots just gave me my bag and I’m coming to play with y’all. Let’s get stoned and go to a game! https://x.com/currypistonn/status/1690442617039785984?s=46&t=8v2t8Tg0a87E2l7bs0NAiw Harden: Hey Morey, why haven’t I been traded yet?!? Morey: (We’re gonna get a ring! We’re gonna get a ring!). Huh? Oh uh… yeah we tried but they turned down our offer for Kawhi, PG, & 10 1sts. My hands are tied (hehehe)! Harden: F***IN’ LIAR!!! ”To be continued…”
  16. Fun. Guess we’ll be tuning into this soap opera for the rest of the off-season. Spoiler alert: Harden will do the same thing he did in Houston before he was traded to Brooklyn. Such babies.
  17. Yes, wish I could’ve watched Big O live as well! After doing a deeper dive, I agree I’m being too harsh on Big O. If I want to stay true to my generational filter, I could absolutely see an argument moving Big O as high as 9! Although he wasn’t known for his defense, he did improve in that area and the Royals went to the playoffs when he was Top 20 in DWS (on a bad team). Add his elite offense/playmakingn (triple-double machine) and you have a recipe for a Top 10 All Time player.
  18. Dang. Thoughts and prayers GM. Here’s to a speedy and full recovery!
  19. I’M IN! Let’s do it! djjob23’s Top 11-20 All Time: 11. Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon 12. Kobe “Mamba” Bryant 13. Jerry “Mr. Clutch” West 14. Oscar “Big O” Robertson 15. Kevin “KD” Durant 16. Moses “Chairman of the Boards” Malone 17. Kevin “Big Ticket” Garnett 18. Dirk “German Wunderkind” Nowitzki 19. Julius “Dr. J” Erving 20. Karl “Mailman” Malone Is Karl really that low for me? Would he have been as great without Stockton feeding him? I dunno, but today he’s this low.
  20. Har en’s highlights from his prime in Houston!
  21. Congrats Vit! Really like his game and am glad to see him playing well after his ankle roll in Summer League! https://www.fiba.basketball/opqt/poland-estonia/2023/news/opqts-krejci-carries-czech-republic-past-estonia-israel-dominate-north-macedonia As a side note, here’s Vit highlights from the Aug. 4 game as well:
