The Atlanta Hawks have never blown a 3-0 lead in the playoffs.

I really want an honest explanation for this…why is Trae young hated so much by the nba media? Like obviously I had a feeling he wouldn’t make all nba this year but they made all kinds of exceptions last year for him to make 3rd team…it’s so weird. The media has had this hate for him for years. Can anyone explain this? Like he’s the only player who’s actively hated like this

Simple question. As I'm writing this, Celtics are down nine points in a pivotal game 5 AT HOME with Jaylen Brown arguably being the Celtics' best player on the court right now. If the Celtics lose tonight and the next two games, Jaylen Brown may not care if he gets the Super-Max to leave the Celtics. Brown may leave the Celtics after failing to win the chip again. In a potential scenario where the Hawks would trade for Jaylen Brown, they would almost certainly want young players to keep their "win-now" window open as long as possible. This brings us to the question: Would you trade AJ and Jalen to the Celtics for Jaylen Brown? Thoise two would almost be certainly dealt to the Celtics along with picks and another starter (maybe a possible three-team trade?) Either way, the chance of both being gone is high. Hawks fans have overwhelmingly praised AJ and Jalen for what they bring on the team and the potential that they could bring to this team's future. They both could be key role players or starters in a title for the Hawks in a few years...but would you trade that potential for a proven star like Jaylen Brown?

Coming in to say that right now in Game 3 of Nuggets vs Suns…JOCK LANDALE(undrafted center and was with the hawks in the Murray trade before being traded away) has shown more physicality and effort in one game than Ayton has in the entire playoffs. Monty basically admitted that Ayton may not even finish the rest of the game right now…AYTON STOLE $200 MILLION. He’s not worth it! He’s soft!

Why would we get Ayton when we have two centers on this roster that are better than him right now? We played against the Suns at home and Ayton grabbed only TWO REBOUNDS in 33 minutes. That’s pathetic. He’s tall for nothing. He won’t be a good anchor for our defense and probably will make our team worse with how lazy he would be. let’s develop Onyeka or keep Capela and keep our best center duo in the league intact. btw this obsession with getting all these players that have shown nothing for their franchises like Jonathan Issac, Ben Simmons, KAT is getting out of hand. They won’t make our team better. We need better role players on this team. We saw how connected this team can be in the playoffs.

Asking if we did the Heat a favor by beating them in the play-in…honest question. Like the Bucks look so unprepared and bad.

Alex Jensen I’m pretty sure may be coming to the Hawks….Irv Roland may be looking for a head coaching but not out of the question for an assistant job. Out of our assistants we have, I want Joe Prunty back. I think our players clearly like Prunty and it seems like every team he’s coached with, they have good relationships with. He’s flexible and can work with this team. He also was a good interim coach while he was here.

It’s clear to me looking at the roster right now that it clearly constrained by the roster moves by front office and the lack of development by Nate McMillan for the past two years. So an idea for next season would be this: Just Let Quin Snyder Cook. We would trade Clint Capela to the Mavericks for the 10th pick and draft Anthony Black as a PG for POA. Get Jae Crowder in free agency as a bench guy who won’t take many minutes and be used as back up 3 or 4 for defense. Onyeka Okongwu will be the starting center. John Collins will most likely stay due to the difficulty of trading him. Hunter will also stay as well. My idea of next season would be a mini-rebuild. The goal would be for the team to rebuild their habits to make a competitive team for the season afterwards. We are taking one step back in order to take two steps forward. Move AJ Griffin and Jalen Johnson up the rotation to give them more minutes so they can learn to shoot better and be better perimeter defenders. Play JC at the five so more time will be available for Jalen, AJ, and Saddiq to play. Let Trae and Dejounte experiment and learn to play better together next season. Hunter could and should become a better defender with Quin. Next season has to be about development so this team can be championship ready. I am fine with adding a free agent like Josh Okogie as long as they don’t take minutes away from AJ or JJ. LET QUIN SNYDER COOK!

This series has basically shown how limited this roster is when it comes to competing with the best teams in the NBA. Like we really don’t have any good lineups at all we can put out at the end of games that don’t have significant problems with spacing, defense, or shooting because of the personnel we have at the 3 and 4. Other than Hunter, who can we put at the 3 that can defend and shoot? No one else on this team. At the 4, JC has been the best defender but has been terrible shooting the ball. You can put Bey at the 4, but Celtics can get everything they want by attacking him because Bey is terrible at defense. Jalen can be option for either but his jump shot isn’t there yet so his lack of shooting can damage the team. This lack of depth is damaging the team a lot and the front office has to fix this immediately next season. on the other hand, trae had back to back 30 point games so we can put to rest that trae doesn’t perform in the play-offs. Quin really did help him adjust in the playoffs against a top 5 defense, and is the best thing the front office has done in the Trae young era so far. one more thing, what DJ did was stupid. That ref was terrible but man you just can’t do that. If he’s suspended, he may have shut the door on any chance we have on winning game 5.

A lot of “””fans””” were to completely give up on Trae Young…ready to trade him…WELL HERE HE IS!!!! HE HAD HIS BEST PLAYOFF GAME IN YEARS! GREAT IN THE CLUTCH, GREAT DECISIONS, HE IS BACK!! Murray had a great game as well…we can say that DJ and Trae both had great games for once. JC was great for the limited time he was in, Hunter did a good job limiting Tatum..Capela was great as usual. shoutout to the bench for stepping up in this game, Bogi was amazing, Bey with the hustle was great. Jalen was awesome and shot with confidence. Okongwu was awesome. really good win despite some defensive mishaps. LETS TIE THE SERIES!! LETS GO HAWKS!!

Someone explain to me how the Celtics can just pelt our guys in the face and get no calls?? It’s kinda suspicious to me. also this constant miscommunication leading to kinda ridiculous.

On one hand Celtics made 15 threes…on the other hand, we are up 7 despite that. Very winnable game. LETS GO HAWKS. Hope the Celtics don’t find a way to pack the paint.

God I hope we win this game….This may be John Collins’s and Clint Capela’s last two home games as a hawk…LETS GO HAWKS!!

Can anyone tell me why we would reasonably want KAT? He can’t set screens, he loves getting fouls (often haves games where he has more fouls than points), he whines to refs constantly, and he’s terrible on defense. He’s seven feet tall, but he’s too scared to ever go into the paint to do anything. He acts like he’s a 7’0 Duncan Robinson when he’s the biggest and tallest dude on the court. People complain about Trae’s performances in the playoffs? Anthony Edwards has more points in the playoffs than KAT has RIGHT NOW and this is only Edwards second time in the playoffs. Karl Anthony Towns is a PROVEN LOSER. KAT would be a disaster for this team and I’m tired of hawks fans bringing it up. I don’t want that dude or his corny quotes on my team. It would be a complete disaster. Just keep Trae and let Quin cook.

I'm gonna say something that may seem weird...the biggest reason this series and this year have gone the way it has been because of one reason: Tony Ressler and the Front Office. Trae has to be better 100% in this series even to win a game. He can't be chucking dumb shots, he has to be creating assists, showing actual effort on defense. The role players have to be hitting their shots and staying on their man and not be scared to defend the Celtics, but I've noticed during the series that the Celtics have an answer for literally everything Trae has done so far. Trae tries to go at someone, they load up the space him. Celtics wouldn't let him create shots, so Trae would have to rely on others to create. Other than Murray, who else would you rely on this roster to create? Hunter, a guy who dribbles of his own foot and had 4 turnovers yesterday? JC, a guy who can't dribble down the court? We have no POA defenders, a constant problem this whole season. The roster is basically not built to compete for the playoffs at all. We only have a few players that can pass well and can create their own shot and that flaw has shown clear as day in this series. Trae has to be 100% in order to even a win a game at this point. Its an impossible situation. This roster is good enough to be a regular-season team, but it gets exposed in the playoffs every time. The front office in 2021 hired Nate (the absolute worst choice for a Trae-led team) who did jack squat in developing the Hawks and now left us in this situation where we have no choice but to basically do a mini-rebuild next season. JC and Capela have to go and we have to get POA defenders immediately. I'm glad we made it to the playoffs because our flaws have been shown front and center. Hopefully, Quin can help us develop habits that will get us on the right track because the Hawks on the court look absolutely confused.

Look at how much this team hates Trae! They’re all laughing at him and hitting him…it’s nuts! He should request a trade!

Somebody explain to me how in the world everytime a team plays the Hawks, a guy that’s been garbage for the entire year all of a sudden dominates us. Like what’s going on with Lowry

Somebody gotta tell Trae to stop trying to dribble through 4 guys because that’s the reason why we are only up by 15 and not by 25. He did that constantly at the end. Pass the ball if you don’t have a clear shot, that’s what they’ve been doing the whole game. Don’t get away from what works. Let’s go

it’s not Trae’s fault that Lloyd Pierce was a complete jerk to everybody that ALL THE PLAYERS in the locker room hated, not just Trae. It’s not Trae’s fault that Nate only knows how to do long two’s, terrible midrange, isos, and no ball movement. Can’t blame two terrible coaches on Trae. Quin Snyder is a proven offensive coach that has worked with Donovan Mitchell to make him the great player he is today. Trae can move off ball, we have seen small glimpses of it this season, and Quin will be the coach that will finally unlock Trae’s potential. it’s also weird that we hear about Trae being hated constantly by his teammates when people like JC praise him all the time…maybe he is a leader but is just a quiet person? Nothing wrong with that.

Crazy how all these stories are coming out right before the Hawks play in the play-in/postseason….something really fishy going on here…. But what do I know

Tony Ressler is one of the most reactionary owners in the entire league so a lot is riding on this one game. Entire team could be traded. The fanbase wants Trae to just have one good game against Miami after being terrible there for years, and the media coverage for the Hawks the past few days have been brutal. This is the lowest the fanbase has been on the Hawks in years. A loss can be devastating. A win can be everything for this team and fanbase’s morale. God I hope we win.
