We can go ahead and trade Hunter for Siakam now . I’d love to see how we’d look then. I might be drinking too much JJ kool aid but we play so much better with him healthy. Adding Siakam even as a flyer might be worth the risk

There has to be belief that Siakam might resign with us if they trade for him. Even if his preference is Philly. Maybe the FO believes that if they trade for him and we do well then he’ll be open to coming back? otherwise, I don’t know why we haven’t let this go. I’d love the thought of retaining Murray though.

This is my concern, too. And my suspicion as to why Murray scrubbed his IG and Twitter. He came here and was loyal to the organization and Trae only to find out that one of the two (hawks FO or Trae) would be willing to trade him for a big. granted, I’d love to see Trae paired with a true big ( a healthy AD is my dream) but not at the expense of Murray. And definitely not for a rental.

Trae’s dad seems to think Murray at least won’t be going to the Knicks. I can’t remember when Murray becomes eligible for trade but I hope we keep him around until we at least have a good plan forward to obtain a superstar to pair with Trae.

Zion would be interesting and I can only imagine what he can Trae could do together. That would be box office easily and I bet that’s exciting to Ressler for sure. NO would probably want JJ. They’d be crazy not to. But given the questions around Zion’s work ethic - Is Zion really more promising than JJ at this point? It’s a tough call for me.

Long time lurker here.. but I joined a few months ago I really hope we’ve moved on from Siakam at this point. This screams level 5 desperation if we have not. If he truly has stated that he doesn’t want to be here then I find it hard to believe we’d continue to pursue him so aggressively. I believe either one of a few things are happening. 1. Siakam has indicated to someone that he would be open to playing with the Hawks under certain conditions. Maybe Trae knows something? But my gut says that’s not the case and he doesn’t want to be here.. which leads me to.. 2. Toronto is using our initial interest as bait to raise the asking price for Siakam to another team. I saw something the other day that said Dallas is interested.. well, if he really only wants to go to Philly then why would Dallas put themselves at risk of him walking away at the end of the year? Maybe they feel Siakam makes them legitimate championship contenders and it’s worth the risk? Luka, Kyrie and Siakam would be tough to beat.. who knows.. 3. The hawks are silently looking into another player or players. I like the idea of Ingram but I’d also love for us to look into getting better perimeter defenders (looking at the Brooklyn nets as they have a few). Either way, I think we may see a trade but I think it will come out of no where and will be someone I haven’t really seen discussed here.. I think Siakam will probably be traded since Toronto would be foolish to lose him for nothing and I could see the Mavs being the landing spot. I just hope our Hawks have a plan or deal in place. Would love to keep Murray because I do think he and Trae can work as long as he’s consistent. But I’m not willing to give up JJ… Murray would have to go first because JJ’s potential is superstar level.

I think we should move on from Siakam. If nothing happens by tomorrow, Landry should end all conversations with Toronto. They are clearly delusional and are pulling our leg. Time to move on to someone else… anyone else at this point….We’re starting to look desperate

I’d love to have Jaylen Brown. But I do wonder how he’d pair with Trae and DJ. I feel like improving our front court is most important. That said, if Jaylen is an option and is remotely available, I feel like we’d be crazy to not at least think about it. And Jaylen still hasn’t signed his deal so that says something

I hope Landry has given the raptors a deadline for a decision. This has dragged on for far too long. Either make the trade or keep the guy. I wasn’t the biggest advocate for KAT but if we could keep OO and pair him with KAT I’d be onboard to try it out. the raptors are frankly annoying at this point

Tried again this week and it worked so now I’m here anyway, I’m liking Kobe’s aggressiveness tonight but was hoping to see our guards look for Gueye. Hopefully trae sees from the sidelines the missed opportunities and feeds them the ball during preseason if they get a chance to share the court with him.
