  1. I agree and think we could compete with that lineup. I wonder if Trae would view a move to get BI as a sign that we’re serious about competing.
  2. Fair enough lol. My mind is racing with all these scenarios I like Marcus defensive presence but have to acknowledge he’s not the kind of shooter we would need.
  3. I’d be so sad to see Jalen leave. But if we can win a championship in the next 2-3 years it could be worth it. but we’d still need to fill out the roster with shooters. I wish there was a way we could get Marcus smart somehow.
  4. I tend to agree. I have mixed feelings about all of this. also, I’d be curious to know how Trae is defining “contender”. We’d definitely be competitive if we keep #1 pick and trade Murray for another star or to round out the roster. But I don’t know if he would agree. secondly, if Trae is asking to be traded (because we can’t get said superstar) then he needs to go to the team offering the best deal. I appreciate everything Trae has done but there’s no way I’d send him to the spurs just because that’s his preference. Absolutely not. if the spurs have the most compelling offer - then sure. But ideally we should get a star in return for Trae and we should do our due diligence if we’re going to let him go.
  5. The only person that trade makes sense for is Giannis and that is a lot even for him. They would need a strong plan to fill out the rest of roster. IF the star is Giannis and Trae is asking for him then I have to think that he’s already had conversations with Giannis about this. Sounds like the dust could settle on this shortly before the draft
  6. Yeah. Trading Trae is one thing.. but trading him to the spurs would be a monumental failure. They have no one I’d want.. We should only trade Trae if he asks out. And if that happens, the spurs would be the team Landry should talk to. We have to do what’s best for the team at that point. If he is traded (and I hope he is not) it better be for a star to pair with Murray otherwise Landry needs to be fired.
  7. I agree. Can’t trade both. This is all really interesting. I don’t think we should trade Trae but at this point, I do think there is a real chance it happens. If that proves true, I hope we at least keep Murray and get another star back for pair with Murray and keep #1 pick.
  8. I was wondering the same. Looks like his dad may not know much about Sarr. maybe Trae is in the same boat
  9. 100 percent agree. Sounds like we’re coveting some low spades which gives us nothing in the grand scheme of things. And they certainly don’t keep our star player happy. I like big O but we have to move him and anyone else if it means giving Trae a true star who can help us make a run.
  10. I agree with this. And I believe Trae is the best player on the team but I do think we should see what’s out there. Murray isn’t a superstar but could we get one by trading Trae for someone who could pair well with Murray? I’m not saying it’s out there but we’d have to at least look into it.
  11. I’d be okay with this trade. I’d be onboard with picking up Claxton in the offseason too.
  12. I agree. I still want Trae to be our superstar. But i am very concerned if we can make changes fast enough before he asks out of Atlanta. It’s the sad but unfortunately reality imo. Who could we actually get that would make us serious contenders given the pieces we have now? We’d have to give up DJ + more to bring in a front court player who can actually move the needle. And we’d still need more than just one player. It would also have to be convincing enough for Trae to want to recommit to Atlanta. Otherwise, we risk losing him in FA in the near future. we should have built around Trae the right way years ago but we didn’t and now we’re stuck and desperate to make it work this off-season and all the teams will know it and won’t do us any favors in the trade market. I wouldn’t be shocked if they considered trading Trae in the off-season and seeing what they can do with DJ and Kobe. We’d get more for Trae than anyone else at this point. This all makes me sad.
  13. I missed most of this game but tuned in around mid 4th quarter. Somehow we didn’t challenge a questionable call I guess my question is, were we at least competitive the entire game?
  14. Is there any other big we could reasonably this off-season? I just don’t see minny letting go of KAT. They are doing and playing great right now. the more I think on this.. logic tells me we may be losing Trae next off-season or at the deadline. I’d hate it but can’t plane the guy to be honest. if this happened, what would that mean for Murray? Would we keep him or would he even want to stay? I know I’m going far down a rabbit hole at this point lol
  15. If we don’t do anything this off-season.. I think there’s reason to be concerned we could lose Trae
  16. What do we really lose by holding on to DJ and waiting until the off season? It doesn’t sound like we would bring in a difference maker significant enough to make a strong playoff push. Unless the person we bring in can help us get to too 6 seed - I’m leaning towards waiting until the off-season to see who else becomes available.
  17. I agree as long as we get a true superstar back. If we can’t do that, we should keep him. I saw DJ give up on a few plays tonight but I still don’t believe we win this game without him tonight.
  18. Love this win. But I’d still like to know why AJ can’t get minutes. Would have loved to see him get some of Matthew’s minutes. If he isn’t going to play and needs to develop the send him to the G league at least.
  19. Love this win for the team. I hope we can fix things with Murray.
  20. Can’t let Curry win with 60 points. Gotta hold strong with the defense
  21. They need to make things work with Trae and Murray. Love what I’m seeing from the team during this last stretch of games
  22. Perhaps . All that said, I think I’d still prefer him to start over Capela. I wouldn’t be shocked if his performance is reflective of a feeling he has of not starting. Has he given up on that prospect? Not saying it should be this way but how are players suppose to be motivated when bad play is constantly rewarded? That would be tough for anyone (again not making excuses) Capela should be benched at this point - imo at least. Bey should be benched. But Quinn says tells him to keep shooting we haven’t seen AJ at all for whatever reason. Forrest is OK but Kobe is balling out in the g league but he’s no where to be found. If we really wanted to complete you’d think we’d be putting our best talent on the floor and coaching them up. Instead it’s just… predictable and rewarding the same minimal effort play and bad performance. Oh and to top it off, we’re trading DJ who has been our most consistent player. so how do we reward great play? We trade them for peanuts. it’s insane. I think I need to take a break from watching the next couple of games. Each time I talk myself through what I see - it gets even more ridiculous.
