I think Marvin will be ready to start after his offseason training regiment, summer camp, and preseason. I'd have JJ/Lue Childress/Salim Marvin/Smoove Smoove/Zaza/Aldridge Nene/Aldridge/Zaza I agree with letting Al go, but I think we could get something nice in a sign and trade for Al in the offseason, maybe for Nene? I put him in there just in case.

I agree I think he may be a tad bit small for PF but he definitely has fire/heart and major athleticism.

LSU could go all the way I think if their guards can limit turnovers (a big if because they are so dang young) They play great D!

I like where Thomas broke away and jammed, that was awesome. I think McRoberts acted like a punk! This guy was fouling like crazy without getting called for it and whining like a baby when he did get called for it. Did you see how Josh McRoberts climbed up Davis' back going for a rebound, he didn't get the rebound so he came up and grabbed Davis? looked like he had narcissistic rage coming down the stretch good grief..

Tyrus Thomas was a beast late in this game! I was really impressed. Big Baby has some potential too I think.

there are quite a few SF/PFs in the league that don't have much of a postgame these days..like Dirk, Kirilenko ( who I think Smoove most resembles), Toni Kukoc kind of pioneered this mold. Rasheed most definitely does NOT prefer playing the low post, he is another one of those PFs. Antoine Walker and Antawn Jamison also, those guys don't like the lowpost.

Sure is nice to have a PF with range, isn't it? Only in your narrow mindset Diesel is the nice expansion of Smoove's game relegating him to the future at exclusively SF. If Smoove's J improved this much, as bad as it was last year, imagine how Marvin could improve? It is like Smoove is the only one who is young with room to improve, he is in his 2nd year.

I don't get your hate for Marvin, I like both Marvin and Smoove. I don't think they take anything away from each other where they will ultimately be on our team together.

Again you ignore the versatility of Chill and Smoove, Smoove could play the majority of his minutes at PF we would not be hurt, Marvin could play the majority of his minutes at SF we would not be hurt, Chill could play most of his minutes at SG we would not be hurt, because Chill can play 1 or 3 also....these guys are versatile they aren't guys you leave in one position the whole game. And from what I've seen our team is BETTER when Smoove plays most of his minutes at PF and Chill at SG, because of his slashing ability and especially when his jumper improves, which I expect. JJ can play GUARD, also, his time goes between 1 and 2. As chill and salim improves, JJ can play less minutes.

Marvin isn't going to get better though Ex. He is what he is. He is always going to be worse than Chris Paul

Morrison had a terrible game and his team still pulled it out yesterday, I think he has pretty good teammates. One thing I've noticed, Morrison doesn't play defense. He has fire and everything but he only plays on one end of the floor. Marvin may appear to lack that fire for now, as the 5th+ option on the Hawks team but at least he plays defense.

Deron Williams looked like Tony Delk / Tyronn Lue type PG last night. Basically like a PG we already have with a little more size, doing nothing else better.

I agree, I have been to about 6 games and unless the opponent is noteworthy, like Detroit or LA( just because of the name , rather than product this season), the crowd grows about 300% as the game goes on, to the point where the arena is about 80% full. The Hawks are drawing, they just aren't getting the crowd in there at the opening tip...

I like Sam but I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank , we need a vet but maybe someone with more years left in him at PG..Ben I think will last longer than Sam will, I would absolutely love to have Ben on the team, but I think its unrealistic to think he'll leave DET

how about JET? Perhaps out of pricerange, but I would like him to be given a serious look...he is definitely more durable and talented than speedy. JET and JJ would be a SICK backcourt. Still I assume he will stay in Dallas.

Chad Ford repeatedly said Marvin should have been the #1 pick before the draft. BK got him #2. Evidently Chad has also hopped on the overloaded Chris Paul bandwagon. Most everyone didn't expect Chris Paul to succeed as he has in his first year, including Mr. Chad Ford. I don't think you can peg what Chad Ford's opinion is, he is just yet another media whore, trying to use negative journalism to sell media. No matter what happens, Chad will find some way to spin it.

which he has. Michael Vick is the least of the Falcons worries...the only problem is his backup might just be another really good QB. I wish him the best because he probably won't be with us, Michael Vick will, and with him we have a good chance of getting back to the Super Bowl, provided we give him the offensive line super bowl caliber teams have, like the offensive line the 98 Falcons had, the 03 04 05 Pats had, the Colts have, etc.

if we could trade down and get Shelden and PG like Rondo or Collins I would be very happy.

I've been wanting Mardy Collins for a while, I think he will fit what we need at PG. I wouldn't mind trading down for a PG and a big at all at this point. We've got enough talent to develop, we need to fill holes.
