  1. Well good destination or not, if he doesn't want to play here, he doesn't want to play here, and he has given NO sign, not even the faintest glimmer that the Atlanta Hawks are even anywhere on his radar. That's all that matters, so my question is, given the clear and obvious fact he doesn't wish to be here, why bother with him?
  2. He seems to have a great attitude. I'll be looking forward to seeing him play.
  3. So with all of these perks, why is it he still doesn't want to play here? That's the one question no one's seemed able to answer.
  4. I'm pretty sure his popularity would be dependent upon his behavior here. If he's acting the gigantic drama queen and undermining his coach and GM here as he did in Orlando, his popularity would take a hit here just as it did there.Of course if he were able to help lead us to a ring, that would overrule everything else.
  5. One of the crummier iterations of any possible deal with the Nets, but still. With all those expirings, next year we're going to have TONS of flexibility with the cap. It's all about the cap, baby! And thank you Billy King!
  6. Yep. Just saw on Legion Sports Twitter feed "Hawks-Nets trade all but done".
  7. I think I would do that trade in a freaking heartbeat, though I don't know about the sign and trade stuff either.
  8. Fifth leading rebounder in the NBA in each of the past two seasons. Was tenth in double doubles last season, and is also starting to emerge as a pretty decent shot blocker. I say heck to the yes!I'd actually prefer Humphries over Brook Lopez, for whatever that's worth.
  9. Oh that's cool. Good news!
  10. I'd gladly take a resigned Kris Humphries off their hands. He's a very useful player, and he's still just 27 years old.
  11. That would be awesome. He's a heck of a player, but my opinion is that he pretty much sucks as a person. He puts on this facade of being such a 'Christian', but then you see all the crap he put Otis Smith and Van Gundy through, and he's just completely two-faced about it. He's the type of person who will smile in your face as his arm sneaks around you to slide the knife into your back.
  12. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it or anything, but wow. This Joker character about makes me long for the 'good' old days of superiorblogman. Takes obnoxiousness to a whole different level.

    Really? For who?
  14. Well the best thing about those players is they're all expiring, so we'd be in the clear heading into the 2013-14 season. Not to mention as expirings, we could use them as trade bait this year.
  15. Well, he was wrong about the draft pick, but apparently his list of players is correct.http://espn.go.com/n...ade-sources-sayLooks like kind of a pu-pu platter, but hey...

Oops, sorry Diesel. I posted this in the wrong thread. Heh, need more coffee.

I'm putting my money on the Lakers to get Howard. They did have a deal in place that would have sent Bynum over, before Dwight decided to opt-in next season, and now they're talking again. That would be fine by me, BTW. It'll be nice to no longer have to hear about all the Dwight-related drama, and once that piece falls into place, the rest will probably fall like dominoes.
  18. Whether he's first or fourth best, it doesn't really matter in my opinion. I think the only relevant point is that the $20M per he's set to be making over the four years left on his deal is going to become a real problem for us, unless we can get rid of that obligation somehow.
  19. Maybe, but it ain't over yet. Remember, Deron resigning there is not a slam dunk yet, in fact there are an awful lot of people who believe he's ultimately going to choose to go home to Dallas. Don't give up hope yet!
  20. Yep. 4-2 with a win over OKC, a road win at Indy, a win vs. Orlando and a three point loss at Miami, all games in which coincidentally Josh Smith shone and played like an All Star. This team can obviously survive without Joe Johnson.
  21. Michael Cunningham is reporting it too, so hopefully this rumor has got some real legs.
  22. Interesting. Deron is meeting with both the Mavs and Nets on Monday, so maybe Brooklyn is feeling some sense of urgency.
  23. I have no idea where the Celtics are at financially, but a lot can and will change between now and the start of the season, for both our teams, as both teams have multiple roster spots that need to be filled. And the danger of rolling with an old fart like Garnett, a player with THAT many miles on him, is his game could drop off at virtually any time.
  24. If he's a good teammate, is good in the locker room and is a coachable player, then by all means bring him back. If his fiery nature is causing any kind of problems in any of those areas, then see ya later Ivan.
  25. Pretty much just being a strict follower of Big 10 basketball, I'm really not all that familiar with either one of these players, but have somewhat conflicting emotions on our draft based on what the talking heads are saying. Jenkins- it's great that he's regarded as being the best shooter in the draft. That's awesome, shooting being something we could always use. However, when I see his potential NBA impact being compared to that of JJ Reddick, and hear virtually every expert calling him 'one-dimensional' and many saying for that reason he was a reach at 23, that doesn't paint nearly as rosy a picture. And Scott, he seems like a fairly good second round pick but for the fact he's already 24 years old.I have no idea what to think. Just gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. What else can ya do?
