My attitude towards the Hawks at this point can be best described as listless. Last night turned a corner for me. I am not only happy to see them tanking, I hope neither BK or Woody is fired for the rest of the season. We've got a mojo going and I don't want to mess it up. I say go for the draft pick. If we are only this bad because of injuries then if why not tank. If we luckout and lose the pick to Phoenix, well be good if healthy next season anyway. We can't possibly make it to the playoffs. Why not increase our chances of not giving the pick away. It's all about strategy baby.

He also compares well to Kobe Bryant. It's the things I see in his game that make me believe he is going to be good. No, he doesn't do it consistently, but he does it. When he becomes consistent is when he'll be dangerous just like Josh Smith did it consistently before his injury. He has the skills whether you see it or not. The problem was he was a ballhog and was jacking up airballs like there was no tomorrow. As far as KG. He's a freak in the mold of Lebron. What can I say about that.

Yes you are jumping the gun. Most players take 3 years to shine. Josh Smith was having his breakout season in year 3. Marvin has been back a short while, and is only in his second year, and is still somewhat injured. I know Marvin hasn't put it together yet but I also know I have seen flashes of what he can do and when he does put it together and I think most of us will be happy we got him. Marvin currently has no obvious advantage over other players so we have to wait for him to learn the NBA game. What I mean by that is Josh Smith has an athletic advantage over even NBA players so his contributions were seen almost immediately. Josh Childress is a highly intelligent player and it showed early. Marvin doesn't have these obvious things. His advantages are more sublte and need more time become obvious.

It took Josh Smith a month to get on track this season and I'm willing to give Marvin a little longer considering his injury and all. Marvin did recently have a 23 point game but I do see where everyone is coming from. Outside of Childress the guys looked like they would rather have stayed at home and played PS3 or something. Joe was double and triple teamed. Our offense looks like crap. It looks like Woody may finally be losing the guys. I respect the fact that he held it together this long but the losing is starting to get to the whole team and it's showing. I like the guy but it looks like we are on the edge and about to fall over if 1)We don't win some games or 2)A change isn't made. The former required Woody pulling something out of his hat the latter requires someone being fired and it will probably be Woodson. BTW where was Solomon. We needed length. It's one thing to get an offensive rebound and have to kick it out, it's another thing to get an offensive rebound and easily lay it in without so much a jumping. Ranting ends now...

I came to post this thread. I can't believe that Charlotte has a game on TNT. I would to go on a profanity laden tirade but doing in on the net just isn't the same. Nonetheless, how the f*ck is this possible. Is it b/c of Morrison vs. Redick. Is it just Dwight Howard. The chance of a Michael Jordan siting. This makes no sense. I was so pissed when I turned to TNT. I hate to think I'm a hater but it is what it is. This is a total slap in the face IMO.

I nominate Carmelo Anthony. I'm a Syracuse fan and I didn't think he would be this good coming out of College. Actually I didn't like him that much and he fell behind my other favorites like Lawrence Moten and Etan Thomas to name a few. Go figure. The most likely candidate on this team for SF who can create his own shot is Joe Johnson. j/k. I think the answer is Marvin Williams. So what do you REALLY want out of this question?

Ugyly. Very ugly but the boys pulled this one out. Congrats. Props to Lue who keeps making big plays for this team. Without him we would be in trouble. Everyone contributed to this win including Josh Smith who played a very mature game. Props to him for being coachable. Apologies to Solomon, I spoke too soon in an earlier thread. No a great game but a good game all around.

I'm with you. ZaZa, Williams, and Lo would basically be all of our size for one player. I just can't accept that as being a good deal unless we were able to sign someone else. Solomon is good but not ready. I would do Indy's 1st, Chilz(though it kills me), and ZaZa as well.
