  1. Cool. Shot you an e-mail.
  2. In Sandy Springs, Ga. by way of Fairfax, Va. by way of Oxon Hill, Md. by way of Newark, Nj. Lived many places in between but don't count those.
  3. The person I think is set to blow up is Wale. http://www.studio43group.com/ He's from where I consider my home. Washington, D.C. This is an area with a good music history if you've ever heard of Go-Go music. Not exactly a band but a musician none the less.
  4. They have another poll on RealGm with Howards vs. Wade. Which way would you go with that one?
  5. Found this over a RealGM. http://www.realgm.com/src_beyondthearc/42/...afor_vs_marvin/ Our Saturday match-up pits two former NCAA basketball champions against one another in a Southwest division battle. Atlanta’s Marvin Williams and Charlotte’s Emeka Okafor had a great deal of success in the college game, but have yet to taste victory in the NBA. Both players have had tremendous expectations placed upon them because of when they were drafted. Okafor was selected with the second overall pick in 2004, and Williams was drafted second in 2005. The Case for Okafor Emeka has the talent and drive to become the next David Robinson, and during his rookie year he showed why he warranted the top pick in 2004. He played a tremendous amount of minutes in his first season and averaged 15.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game, earning Rookie of the Year honors in the process. If he can improve his offensive game he’ll turn into a perennial all-star. The Case against Okafor While he has shown just how good he can be on the court, injuries seem to have become a problem for the former Connecticut standout. Following his Rookie of the Year campaign Okafor struggled to remain on the court last season, and an ankle injury eventually shut him down for the season. Playing in twenty-three games he still put up good numbers, 13.2 points and 10 rebounds a night, but it remains to be seen if he can duplicate his rookie year and sustain those numbers over an eighty-two game schedule. The Case for Marvin Despite the fact that Billy Knight and the Atlanta Hawks don’t always make the best management decisions, there was good reason why the Hawks took him with the number two pick in the 2005 draft. Williams is an extremely versatile forward, and was the first of four Tar Heels picked that year. As far as Atlanta is concerned, Chris Paul may have been a better pick in retrospect, but Williams’s full potential is still a few seasons away from being realized. The Case against Marvin Sure, most people around the game of basketball expect Marvin to become one of the league’s premier players one day, but time is money and when building a franchise from scratch you want a guy who can help you win now. Also, consider the fact that all-purpose swingmen have become a dime a dozen these days and Marvin becomes a less attractive option as a franchise cornerstone. The choice is yours – Who would you rather start an NBA franchise with? BTW Okafor is winning with 64% of the vote on RealGM.
  6. Happy B-Day to one of my favorite squawkers.
  7. I gave him a mediocre. While he could have drafted players to gave us a more complete team, I can't really say that he could have drafted better talent. The reason I give him a mediocre is because of our win/loss record. I've tried in the past to ignore it but I just can't anymore.
  8. Heat, Half Baked, Gladiator, Coming to America, Matrix, Empire Strikes Back, Friday, Carlitos Way
  9. If the rumors of Al being traded to the Pacers for their exemption and a draft pick prove to be true how much better will Belkin look with Atlanta knowing he wanted to use Al Harrington to acquire Allen Iverson. Dude is an evil genius. Alot of fans think it would be a good idea to Iverson here. I'm truly undecided. Belkin has been kicking the Atlanta Spirits ass in court and looks like he is going to start kicking their ass in the court of public opinion. The Atlanta Spirit better wake up and realize he wants to make sure he embarasses them more than they embarassed him last summer. And if he can win the team in the process it will be all the more better for him.
  10. Quote: The shot, the goofy afro and I just hate his overall game. I can't explain it, he just pisses me off for no reason. It's because you're a hater.
  11. I put my together together with the thought of balance skillsets for the NBA but now that I think about it, I need more shooters because of international play. That was a big problem with the 04 team. Quote: C. Paul C. Billups D.Wade J.Johnson B.Bowen L. James L. Odom E. Brand A. Stoudemire G. Oden D. Howard B.Miller. I would probably take out Bowe and Odom and put Rashard Lewis and Adam Morrison.
  12. C. Paul C. Billups D.Wade J.Johnson B.Bowen L. James L. Odom E. Brand A. Stoudemire G. Oden D. Howard B.Miller.
  13. Quote: Even if you look at the run that they went on 9 of the 16 wins came against teams who were under .500. not only that but 2/3 of those 9 wins came against teams that didn't even have 35 wins. Than that makes them better than at least nine teams or six if it's 2/3, which moves them out of second to last.
  14. Howard is a monster. A superstar in the making. Nelson is no slouch either. Stevenson is a good defender. Their record was no illusion. They won 10 games in a row or something like that. I'm not saying they are going to win the title but they are better than next to last.
  15. Orlando is ranked next to last. That has got to be a mistake.
  16. It didn't work for me. Maybe I'll try again later.
  17. I'm not in support or against getting Chandler I just want to propose a question. At what point does the price of big man, that everyone in the league is paying, become the market price. We talk on this board about not overpaying for this 7ft stiff and that 7ft stiff, but after last and this season I don't think teams are overpaying for big men anymore. I think the price teams are paying for big men are the market price because they are so rare and valuable. If next year's draft produces an abundance of big men that may change in the coming years but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I know noone wants to pay these 10 million a year contracts for a center with true center size but the Hawks don't exist in some sort of market vacuum where we can get away with paying less for big men than all other 29 odd times in the league. We got Zaza at a great price and he is a big man on the way up, but if this board feels he is not starter quality, we are not going to find a center capable of taking his starting job for chump change. Size is a commodity in the league today and the Hawks will at some point and time have to pay to play with the rest of the big boys. In the past I thought Zaza had no upside to this game and I'm still not sure he does but I still will give him a chance. There aren't that many big men in the league that will come in and take his job before training camp or after and the ones that have a chance are going to cost plenty. This isn't specifically directed towards you AHF
  18. I know the hype of Oden has everyone salivating but I haven't seen him play, not even once. So in this case I have to choose the Hawks making the playoffs. Ask the this question after I watch him in his first season in Ohio.
  19. Giants on top. Go big blue!
  20. I don't have alot of faith in BK's ability to make deals and with the way things have been going lately this will probably turn out to be true. Billy "Nothing to get excited about." Knight.

    2007 NBA Draft

I had no idea a movie was being made. And it looks like it will be live action. On a side note, I haven't seen the trailer for spiderman 3 yet but I heard that is might have Venom in it. All this makes me sooo happy.

    2007 NBA Draft

Okay, you've done it Yubs. It's time for me to get an avator.(sp) I'm so jealous.
  24. Quote: I'll pay him to stand in the paint with his arms up in the air for 48 minutes. Lol. That is very hard to do. Me and my friends used to compete to see who could hold their arms in the air for the longest. We didn't get anywhere close to 48 minutes. Actually we held them straight in front of us.
  25. I know that they like Webster but they should put Roy at SG IMO and have PG by committe. That probably what they will do. He's going to try out at PG for summer league so they can see how well it works.
