  1. I want JO bad this offseason, but Chill isn't being traded, and if we do trade our first round pick this year Indiana better give us another player/pick. Maybe we do this... IND Gets: Al Harrington(S&T) ATL Lottery pick ATL Gets: Jermaine O'Neal IND 1st Round pick And with thier pick we take Marcus Williams if he is there

    Trade Idea

Yes, but we played a real tough team that really needed that game. It was a good game, and we no doubt played well enough to win.

    NBA GM League

Hey guys, I never advertise anything on any board but I just wanted to let you guys know about this great league I took part in this year. It is a GM Sim league, basically you take over an NBA team and go through the offseason as your team's General Manager and see how it turns out. We sim the games on NBA Live and go at the same pace as the NBA. I'm the New Jersey Nets GM and a Comitee Member for the league. We are about to start the playoffs(I will be the 3rd seed in the east as the Atlantic Division champions)so if you are interested and would like to join, there are no moves you can make untill the offseason, but I encourage you guys to sign up for year 2!!! We only look for COMITTED AND ACTIVE members. Here is the link to the league, check it out... http://nbagmleague.proboards49.com/index.cgi

    Trade Idea

TRADE: After watching last nights game vs. the Bulls it became clear what most of us have thought all along, we are a better team without Al Harrington. We were a much more unselfish team on offense and, most importantly, every shot the Bulls took last night was contested. The defensive energy was clearly there, when it has been rare to see it from us when Harrington is in the game. But while we were so much more unselfish on the offensive end of the floor, we were also clearly missing a scorere in the post which Al has provided for us all year. Missing a post scorer last night allowed Chicago to quickly double team Joe Johnson, taking away alot of his scoring chances. What we need to fix this situation is a best of both worlds senario. And after looking through the rosters of all the teams that have been reported interested in Al Harrington, only one realistic possibility came to mind, a sign and trade with Al Harrington going to Indiana in exchange for Jermaine O'neal. I figure that if Indy is willing to offer us Ron Artest for Harrington, then they will be willing to offer us O'neal for Harrington.
  6. Can someone post the whole article please, I can't find it on AJC.com
  7. I'd love to have him back but I have a question.... I know he is not small but he isnt a big PG either and BK likes the bigger players. Then we would have 3 smaller, quicker PGs(JT, Lue, Salim) and only 2 big PG(Ivey, and Joe....if he can even be considered a PG)
  8. Sorry if already posted guys... Reggie[Atlanta Ga]: What do you think about the future of the Atlanta Hawks? Ric Bucher: The Hawks' future is tied with what they do with Al Harrington this summer. I would fully expect them to do a sign-and-trade, but we'll see. I love their athletic talent, but they need to raise their team's basketball IQ. The FA class this summer doesn't have any great players, but there are a few that will be pursued heavily: Jason Terry, Harrington, Sam Cassell, to name three. I'd add Radmanovic and Ben Wallace, but they're not looking to go anywhere. John Salmons in Philly is a guy I'd be very interested in (at the right price) if I were a GM tweaking my team. Man, I would love to get Cassell, JT would be nice too. I want no part of Harrington. I'm sure we will make a big offer to Wallace but he isnt going anywhere.
  9. I dont think the last play had anything the do with bad coaching on Dwayne Casey's part. Actually it was a sign of good coaching, he drew up a great play and got the matchup he wanted when he got Rickey Davis to come off a screen and go 1 on 1 with the slower ZaZa pachulia. I think that the Timberwolves need to know to get back on defense. You dont need to be coached on that.
  10. We did not get rapped at all in the deal to land Joe. Boris would have never worked out here, the main reason he is playing so well is because he is playing the 4, sometimes the 5 for the Suns. He fits their system very well thats all. If he is with any other team he most likley dosnt put up near half the stats he is putting up right now. Joe on the other hand, is one of the best scorers in the league, and a perfect player to build our team around.
  11. Everyone stop underating Royal, he has played well consistantly this year. That is something we cannot say about alot of Hawks players this year except JJ and ZaZa. He is a huslte player with an excellent basketball IQ. HE IS apart of this teams future. But I do like Grundy though, he is very quick for a 6-3 pg. I think T Lue may have to watch his back if Ant keeps playing well. Although, It's probobly doubtful Tyronn looses his job just because of his excellent leadership.
  12. That is most likley one of the best trade ideas I have ever seen at this site. It makes a great deal of sense for all parties. Philly can get Al and put him at the 3 while Igudala moves to the 2, and Korver comes off the bench and they will not have to re-sign John Salmons this offseason who I think is going to get a good deal of attention on the market this summer. Al gets to play closer to home like he seems to want to do, and would be a great fit for the 76ers. In my oppinion, he just is not a go-to option, but makes a great 3rd or 4th option. I think he would have his best years in Philly. Atlanta gets a player who I think we should have went after a little bit harder last offseason. He fits what we need, a young, big, athletic, shotblocking Center down low. If we could get another big man, possibly LaMarcus Aldridge or Joakim Noah our frountcourt could be very special in another year or two with a rotation of Smoove, Marvin, Dally, ZaZa, our draft pick and Chill. Oviously it makes sense for Sam, you can tell he is just not a happy man in Philly right now. He wants playing time, he will get that here. And while I said Al will have his best years in Philly, Dally will have his best years in Atlanta. Great deal if BK can get it done. Seems like a no-brainer to me!!!

    Hustle Players

Playing Detroit last night, I relized something we need when watching Ben Wallace pick up his whole team's energy early on after a slow start. Although our young guys have really tried hard to give 100% each night, let's face it, they havn't. There will be three players abaliable though who could really help us in that department, and possibly take us to the next level. Those players are Ben Wallace, Sam Cassell, and Joakim Noah. I know how tough it will be for BK to pry Big Ben and Sam Cassell away from DET and LA, but if he can...look out for the Hawks in 06/07!!!
  14. Anyone in the NY/NJ area going to the game tonight? I will be there.
  15. Also my two suprise teams to make noise in the tourny are Indiana and Michigan State.
  16. Yea I went to a Falcons game and he sat near me, he is a real big dude.
  17. Diesel, what makes you think Shelden Williams sucks? I think he would be a great fit here.
  18. I was not happy with our game tonight...how can we give up 106 and still win? This team needs to learn you will loose when you dont play any defense. But I guess a win is a win.
  19. A quick offseason plan popped into my head today, and I think it is actually realistic when you think about it. DRAFT: Lottery Pick: Shelden Williams,PF/C,Duke 2nd Round Pick: Terrell Everrett, PG, Oklahoma FREE AGENTS: Al Harrington, SF/PF, Atlanta Hawks Nene, PF/C, Denver Nuggets TRADES: NYK Get: SF/PF Al Harrington ATL Gets: PG/SG Steve Francis PF/C Channing Frye
  20. There is no doubt in my mind that this offseason is the time where BK should start mixing some more vets with our youngsters. My top choices, Ben Wallace and Sam Cassel. Both are pretty much perfect fits here. Will they be here next season, doubtful. But can't I imagine? Cassel/Lue/Ivey Johnson/Childress/Stoudamire Smith/Williams (S. Williams/LaMarcus Aldridge/Tiago Splitter/Andrea Barangani/Pachulia/Batista Wallace/??/Edwards NASTY!!!...but it aint happening:(
  21. Why are you so happy about that? They are in OUR division.
  22. I know about him, but very little. He will be with the Hawks to provide some rebounding ability, so don't expect good PT for him. Hopefully he can impress.
  23. I would be on board for a lesser contract. No doubt he is a player filled with potential, and we do need size.
  24. I actually wouldn't mind us not having a great lottery pick. I really like some of the players in the bottom half of the lottery like Shelden Williams, Rajon Rondo, and Randy Foye.
