The word is that with a Nets finishing with a disapointing season and with VC having possibly a foot already out the door, Lawrence Frank may be fired. This guy runs a great system, and he has coached or been an assistant coach on teams that have been tremendous in the open court. I think he would be a great fit with the Hawks. Beleive it or not, I think Woody has not done a bad job in Atlanta. He has done a great job in developing our players, but his system is terrible. It is three plays and he runs one of them 80% of the time. Plus, I just think our guys need a new voice in their ears.

Zaza is killing both himself and the team by arguing every call against him!!! He is loosing his temper over obvious calls and taking himself mentally out of the game I think. I didn't even want him touching the ball late in the game tonight. Anyone agree???

Once again, this start is great but we need to continue not to become satisfied. With that said, has anyone else notice how terribly the Hawks are defending screens? The Raptors were just abusing the Hawks with picks from the perimeter. The Cavs also exposed the Hawks with the same thing.

I'm very excited about our start....who isnt? But I hope the Hawks can ignore the hype they are starting to get. The hole key to us having succsess for the 78 GAMES we have left is to NOT GET AHEAD OF OURSELVES!!!

First of all, let me say wow. How great is this guys? I can't remember the last time I said the Hawks are over 500. and in first place. Obviously it is early, but you have to love the start. Tuesday's game I think will tell us alot about this Hawks team. How they come out and play will say alot. Do the Hawks want to play with 500. all year, or do the Hawks really want to be a force this year?

To say he hasn't developed is ludacris. Smoove has added a perimeter game, he is a better ballhandler and distributor, and he keeps his man in front of him now.

Are you guys crazy???? Smoove has not sucked at all. He has been one of our best players on the defensive end so far. And his offensive production looked much improved from game 1 to game 2. I'm impressed with how Shelden has played inside, but he is still showing his feet are a little slow on defense and he is forcing things a bit on offense. I'm excited with what is to come with Sheldon, but Smoove and Marvin are our two starting forwards when MW comes back.

No we don't. Billy and Woody have done fine jobs and both are getting better as a GM and Head Coach. Can somebody answer how Woody is responsible for the team shooting 33% last game?

Obviously the start of the season is key for the Hawks. But I have never seen this site over react the way some of us are after last nights game. It's rediculous. The Hawks played very well on the defensive side of the ball last night, they were quite aggresive. It was just the offense that was shaky. You can't blame Mike Woodson for the team shooting 33%!!! I think it was just a case of trying to do too much on opening night. The Hawks need to keep thier composure when they are on the offensive. We have a chance to get back to 500. with one win tomorow night. Everyone in the area please be in attendence for the game!!! Help our Hawks out!!! A win Friday would be huge.

I would kick and scream untill Larry Brown became the coach of the Hawks. I'm suprised he hasn't landed in his perfect situation with Charlotte already.

Good move by Golen State, I think Motgomery did a bad job last year. That team is talented, but they needed an experianced coach and they got one.

That's fine. If Cenk is just about 18 and playing in these games, then we must have found a dimond in the rough.

I would let the parties concerned know that without Petrius and a future 1st round pick this deal doesn't happen. With Smith and Petrius we end up with about 10 million more cap room next summer with a loaded FA class, and a first round pick always helps. Speedy/Lue/Ivey Johnson/Petrius/Stoudamire Smith/Childress Williams/Smith/Lanlord/Batista ZaZa/Wright/Edwards ....May be a playoff team!

I know I'm going to get torn apart by you guys for saying this, but I've always felt like Kenyon Martin(even in his Denver days)would be a great fit for our team. He is a warrior, always playing with that intensity that we still don't have. He has always been an active player, a good defender, rebounder, shot-blocker. And he can put up good offensive numbers, especially when we get out and run the floor, if he can stay healthy. I'd also like to see Camby in Atlanta, but I think, and I would like it more, to see us get K-Mart. ...Let the flaming begin

I don't think that the Hawks are trying to take on draft picks instead of veturan contracts, I just think they havn't been offered players that have played up to thier contracts.
