    it may not have been for a trade for siakam... but it was around that time when everyone was arguing about that. I don't judge you for it (too much) -- I know a lot of people were emotionally disturbed at the time and not thinking clearly.

    @JayBirdHawk you better at finding receipts than me. Can you help me out? It was early in this season when everyone was all doom and gloom. I remember it well -- it evoked strong emotion. I couldn't believe you said it Supes.

    Lil too old for me.... I remember Ricky Brown though... one of our dogs was named after him. Ricky was a stand up dude.

    Hate it for Siddiq. This affects his payday significantly. Don't imagine he will be signing any multi year offer sheets now and suspect he may take the QO to see if he can prove he recovers and try again next year.

    didn't realize Jeff was his dad but yes, I remember him. He's been a running joke between my brother and I for ages.

    where are the folks that thought it was ridiculous to package Huerter/#6/filler to move up to #1 in that draft? I remember reading some of the comments and asking myself "are these people really my friends?"

    who on our roster do you consider a sacred cow that's not the above 3? I don't even see all of them as that.

    it is so INSANE to rationalize that that guy was still a head coach in the NBA in 2006. I wasn't impressed with him during his time here.

    oh dang... that sucks. I guess no one wants to be around the Resslers. Many posters trash our recent draft picks but I think our drafting since 2018 has been the best in Hawks history. And for those posters, go back and look at every pick over the past 30 years. The only hits that obviously come to mind are Jason Terry and Alice.

    He's way better off the bench when he gets the opportunity to be one of the first options on offense // one that creates. He's not skilled enough to score buckets against opposing starters and his passing is too terrible to be able to pass out when he gets locked down. I've enjoyed seeing him get the opportunity to operate against lesser defenders. If nothing else should build his confidence.

    Oddly enough, you may not be able to achieve both at the same time. I don't think what the young guys would give us would be less than the Mat(t)hews.

    He was the missing piece that put them over the hump. Until the trade of Eddie Jones for him, they had fit issues (like we do) because Eddie was redundant with Kobe. He was also that sniper that spread the floor for Shaq and Kobe to operate. I learned a lot about team building by observing the Lakers closely before and after that trade, despite being just a young lad the size of Mugsy Bogues.

    I recall the Mavs defeating the Heat in LeBron's first year. I thought the next year was when the Spurs had the chance to put them away but Ray Allen hit that corner 3 to force game 6 and then Heat took over from there. I guess we can all google this but it's more fun to test our brains.
