Winning Championships Is Not A Simple Formula

If we just root to be in the playoffs this year. Then next year we can root to advance in the playoffs. Finally we can root to be in the Finals. This would be a formula that shows we improved every year, til we got to the finals.

Guess what? This doesn't work. Every team, in every sport tries the improve each year until you win formula. If the formula was this simple, then every team would take turns winning championships.

The truth is, that a lot of teams in a lot of sports come out of no where to participate in the sport's season final game or series at the end. The playoffs is something very special, because its win or go home. When a team makes the playoffs they need to make the very best of it. Because who knows when a team will get another chance at winning it all. That is why I plan to root the Hawks to the finals. There isn't a dominant team in the East, so we can beat any team if we play our game, and maybe have a little luck.
