Premium Member Diesel Posted October 13, 2002 Premium Member Report Share Posted October 13, 2002 What's wrong with Miller? Ingrown toenail?? Normal for vets to sit out preseason. Look at Oakley. No vet really wants to run windsprints and stuff. However, that had nothing to do with what I was saying. You are a master of talking about the irrelevant. Guest
Whatever. You are like"They must have not played Miller to make a point"The dude hasn't played in a game yet this preseason.Again you do nothing but reach for the stupidest stuff.Start making some sense will you?If you did it wouldn't be so easy to clown on you. Lrenfro
How is it that we get sucked in to this dudes Hoorahh/boo attitude. I mean you want to respect him as a fan but what is he a fan of. Is he a hawks fan, a NBA fan ,a Reef fan or just a fan of controversy. I have to refrain from responding to everything he says I have to remember what fraim of mind he is speaking from. I do like having him around though. I have to admit he at least speaks what he feels. I know I am pretty much dorment. I come in and read but I don't post much. I guess I am not as intence a fan of the nba as I am of the Hawks. As a matter of fact I pretty much only watch the Hawks. I only watch the other teams when the playoffs come around. So I have to give him his props on that. He atleast has an oppinion on alot of the other players.
Guest
Fans like you can't take the truth.I'm not a complete "rah rah rah"fan and I'm not stupid enough to look at us a top team in the east when we might come in at 6th but probably 8th spot. "I guess I am not as intence a fan of the nba as I am of the Hawks. As a matter of fact I pretty much only watch the Hawks. I only watch the other teams when the playoffs come around." So that pretty much limits your knowledge of the NBA.You probably feel we are the best team in the league.I don't let biased get in the way on most times. " I mean you want to respect him as a fan but what is he a fan of. " I don't post on here for peoples respect nor do I really care if I have yours. You can hate my guts for all I care.I know there is people that hate the truth and you are one of them. " I only watch the other teams when the playoffs come around. So I have to give him his props on that." I watch and observe most of the NBA.Guys like you will probably get pissed cause I state Reef isn't a top 5 PF in the league.Hell JT is my favorite player on the team but I am smart enough to realize he isn't a top 20 player. Did your post really have a point?I remember you from the other board. You struggle with the truth. I am a unbiased fan.If you can understand what that means. Premium Member Diesel Posted October 14, 2002 Premium Member Report Share Posted October 14, 2002 No disrespect intended but for you the glass is always half empty. It's not about being rah rah at all. The Hawks have the best front court in the East. And JT isn't that bad either. The realistic fans sees that there will be some time for chemistry to develop. However, if we keep Theo SAR, Big Dog, Hendu, and JT healthy, we will be very hard to stop. One preseason game without Big Dog doesn't determine us to be 8th in the East? IN fact, we have better talent than that. I agree though, coaching will be under the microscope.
Guest
Welp I was burned last year for giving the team the benefit of the doubt at the start of the season. I do realize the talent that is here....however we are Atlanta and so far it hasn't been destiny for the Hawks to really do much.... I admit I was being dumb when I predict us a final appearence when we got Big Dog.It was a deal where i was really excited the dumb comment came out. With only 3 teams NY/Miami/Cleveland out of the playoff race it will be tough.Boston's PG spot hasnt looked good either. I probably shouldn't be mad about the loss to Indy because I don't think we will be better than them anyway. However while I see only NJ/Indy/Hornets with more talent than there is Washington that should win 46 games also. But the Hornets actually have a slighty aging frontline so we will see.... But right now I can't give the team the benefit of the doubt with just a good team on paper.
Premium Member Diesel Posted October 14, 2002 Premium Member Report Share Posted October 14, 2002 Teams we are better than in the east: NY/Cleveland/Miami/Detroit/Milwaukee/Philly/Toronto/Chicago. Teams that will give us trouble but our frontcourt should help s beat..... Orlando/Boston. Teams that we probably can't beat in a best of 7 New Jersey/Charlotte Teams where anything can happen Washington/Indiana So from the top Column, I expect about 26 wins. From the Second column, i expect 4 wins. From the 3rd Column, 2 wins. From the 4th column, I expect between 2 to 4 wins. IN conference, that's 34 to 36 games. That still leaves us 28 games in the west. If we go .500 in the west, we can end up with 48 to 50 wins overall. All we have to do is make it happen. Guest
On paper we are better than some teams but games aren't won on paper. The team has to prove it can win.
Premium Member Diesel Posted October 14, 2002 Premium Member Report Share Posted October 14, 2002 This wasn't a talent look. This is just teams we can beat and not in my opinion. I agree that games are not won on paper however, my standard is that and if we start losing to teams like Cleveland, NY, CHicaog, etc... Then maybe it's time to change the equation. That means saying goodbye to Lon. For truly, if we can't win with what I call the best Frontcourt in the East... Then we need to change something.
