The 6-2 guard cleared waivers about 15 minutes ago, making him eligible to sign with any team he wants to. The 32-year-old isn't expected to play much for Detroit, but in case Chauncey Billups or Lindsey Hunter suffers an injury, Detroit now has a veteran they know that can come in and do a decent job. Obviously, Delk isn't going to be a player that's going to make a major impact on this team. But his presence shows that Joe D., to his credit, continues to cover all the bases in case things don't go as planned. And Delk, to his credit, understands he's walking into a situation where minutes are not going to be there early on, and they may not come at all. But a chance to win a title, at this stage of his career, was obviously an opportunity he felt was too good to pass up. Stay tuned for more info to come ... No big surprise. Good for Delk I guess? I'm not a big fan of old timers bandwagonning for a title, but why not? At least he won't be one of those guys who bandwagon and then act like they really earned it
