They predict:

Hawks 27.5

Knicks 30.5

Not too encouraging... I always can burst my dreams/expectations by looking at what they're saying in Vegas with Atlanta teams... Unfortunately, they tend to be right...

not really. We all said they were wrong last year and they were. They typically know less about the lower teams. Nobody wants to bet for the hawks, so they set the line lower. Remember they're not trying to guess exactly how many games we'll win, they're trying to set the line where they'll get equal bets on each side.

Honestly, I feel good about us winning 35+, and my guess is 38. I don't see how we could win less than 28 games barring a major injury. If I had $100 to waste right now I might put some on this. Hell I already bet $35 that we would win 35 games.

I would bet $200 we'd win 28 games or more. I'll also bet $100 the Knicks will win fewer games than we do.

I'll be very surprised if the Bobcats win 34 games.

If I were a betting man I'd bet a ridiculous amount of money that we will win more than 28 games. Only 2 more wins with all the things we have going for us this season compared to last season?

Last season we had a nervous Joe Johnson, tragic death of starting center, and the youngest team in NBA history. This year we have all those young players improving, added depth to the roster, a more relaxed JJ that has accepted his role as captain, and one of the steals of FA in Speedy Claxton.

No way in hell we only win 2 more games with all these things going for us unless we get some terrible injuries.

the only downside is your money is locked up for so long unless you have a bookie where u pay if u lose and don't have to pay up front like with online/vegas sportsbooks
