Kidd would make more if he re-signed with the Nets. One scenario is the Nets offer a sign-and-trade deal in which Kidd gets his maximum deal and is traded into the Spurs' cap space. The Nets then would get developing point guard Tony Parker and send the Spurs a big man such as Jason Collins.
