TexasPete
Because if he can play valuable minutes in the post, holding his own on defense and grabbing boards, that may be a solution. However, Shelden was viewed in the same light and did not fare well there. No more square pegs in round holes but Horford is more athletic and skilled than Shelden. Can Horford play the post? Yes I believe so. The burden now is to shift (trade) assets to maximize an effective core with a solid determined rotation. Versatilness is great but the puzzle should fit. Getting Horford may mean moving Shelden. Getting Brewer (I like Brewer a lot) means moving Marvin. The league will have a Lot of Movement this off-season. atlien110
horford is probably the best low post threat in the draft.. i think his offensive game is further along than odens. i think you get the best available talent at 3 and you trade for that low post scoring threat. TexasPete
If Horford doesn't work that well in the post then we have even bigger problems than now. Shelden was supposed to be able to play 5 but gets his ass kicked. I don't see one true post available to the Hawks.
