KB21
The Hawks are shooting lights out and are actually playing decent defense despite the score. Cleveland is getting lots of second chance put backs though and are outrebounding the Hawks 24-13 at this point. Terry, Dog, and Reef are playing well offensively. Terry has 8 points 7 assists and only 1 turnover so far. Is that point guard enough for you?
Gray Mule
Who was that, hitting those free throws at the end of the game, when the outcome was still in doubt? Who was hitting "Nothing but the bottom of the net from the line with the game on the line?" The big three had a terrific offensive game, getting 70 between them, but it was Dion Glover who stood at the line and dropped in four points, cool as a cucumber, and put the Hawks over the hump. He was "The Closer" tonight. His "Pitching under pressure" made a huge difference. If he misses all those freebies, Hawks are in big trouble. Theo's defense down the stretch was great. The big three get a lot of credit for scoring, but the "Other" two guys pushed the scales over to the Hawks favor. Playing the bottom teams and just barely getting by. But, what the heck, a win is a win is a win ----------
Playmaker0017
GrayMule, I was actually going to ask how in the world we could even play Dion Glover. He's worthless. He had an average night with a MASSIVE amount of turnovers. He shot more than he should. God, I want DJ to come back. Dion is an idiot. Play. Playmaker0017
KB21, I think Terry must have come to this board, saw what I had to say and wanted to prove me wrong. He is playing like a man possessed over the past couple games. Kudos to him. Play.
Gray Mule
You will admit, I hope, that Glover hitting those free throws in the last few minutes of the game, when it was on the line, pulled us over the hump. His aggressive play late in the game, caused the fouls and made it possible for him to score these points. Glover's play might have seemed to you a dark cloud for part of the game, but look for the silver lining. It was right there, at the end of the game. Don't know who lit the fire under J.T. I agree with you on that one. He is now doing his job well. If the Hawks could only develop to the point where they could do it every time that they hit the floor, then we would have what we thought we had at the beginning of the year. Guest
Dion tries hard things.Like that one time he was driving to the basket and drew the foul...If he had threw it to Shareef over his shoulder Reef would have had a EASY DUNK!But Dion had to make things hard and was thinking selfishly. Dion will not go very far in the NBA.
swolehawk2
Dion is aggressive and that is what we need. Sometimes we need a player to put his head dpwn and take it hard to the rack...it makes big men think twice about trying to take a charge later in the game. The only flaws in Dions offensive game is he leads with the ball when going up in traffic..should lead with that strong body...also he has to learn to hit wide open no dribble jump shots...seems as though he has to take a dribble or a pull up jumper to be comfortable..I do like the way his is handling the ball at the top allowing JT Dog and Reef to screen and come off screens. Guest
There is no excuse to for taking tough shots instead of passing and getting easy baskets. He was lucky to draw that foul in the first place. He also had 6 turnovers last night. He will not make it very far in the NBA.He's had enough chances to prove that he can.
