Hawks 1st S.L. game !!!

Summer League! Can hardly wait! Why??

Someone is sure to post that, after watching the first

game for the Hawks, Horford is incapable of making

the team. He will only be here to take up space on

the end of the bench. A complete flop.

Then, someone else will report that Law cannot possibly

play the P.G. position for Atlanta. If he stays here,

he will only be a 2 guard and be a backup for J.J.

All this after watching, or perhaps only reading the

box score and hearing the comments of some "expert"

Hawk hater.

Why do I believe this will happen? History. I know

how some people are likely to over react to stuff.

Then, there are those on the other side of the equasion.

Horford will be a starter for the Hawks! Probably

the rookie of the year. He's capable of picking the

team up and carrying it on his back.

Acie Law IV will start for the Hawks @ P.G. and be

Mr. everything for us. The leading scorer, etc.

The finest thing since sliced bread!!

Then the discussions begin - the disagreements on

everything said by anyone.

The reality of it is: This is only Summer League.

Sure, it's better than a pick-up game @ the local gym.

There is some orginization structure here, but not

a lot. Some players are under contract and are trying

to get in shape for the upcoming pre-season games.

All the others will be trying to impress everyone

enough to get invited to someone's pre-season camp

and hope for a chance to make it. At least, have

a shot at the D. League.

After one game: Fame & fortune awaits!

After one game: A flop. A complete failure!!

When is the first game? Can we watch on our computer?

With all the excitement about the others we got a

glimpse of already, Hawksquawk is sure to be rocking

when our Summer League opens up!!!

We're so hungry for some "Real" action. It's been

a long time since the final game of the season.

I don't think they will show the Hawks summer league (rocky mt rev.) live. Look at the sched on that site and you know what i mean.

I open up another thread trying to find out if I can watch the Hawks game live. Look like NBA tv are showing these games starting on the 18th. Wish I could find a way to watch it live though.
