BK, for his own survival, needs Joshes to play hard for their contracts. We have seen plenty of players play above their heads on contract years. Its so hard to leave as free agents that BK has little risk and much to gain by not signing them. Its not his money when he'll pay more next year, right?

One note about Josh Smith is the new fade away jumper he’s shown off the past couple days. His summer work with Hakeem Olajuwon is obvious.

I'll be happy if it is just average. If defenses have to honor it then it will set up a lot of up and under moves. and with Smiths hops those will frequently wind up being dunks or easy layins.

The Hawks have got to resign one if not both Joshes. Hopefully the Spirit will get its act together and get them signed as well as Marion Hossa with the Thrashers.

Josh Smith with the fade-away, holly cow that will be nasty.

Good to hear camp is intense and competitive.
