The "New" Hawks

What with the Hawks having no owners right now,

the Head coach & G.M. not knowing whether they have

a job for the upcoming season here, all the free agents

going somewhere else, what are we poor fans to do?

With the sale not final, present owner doesn't want to

make any moves to mess up the deal. Hopeful new owner

can't do anything since he is not the owner yet. Hawks

are caught, as the old saying goes, "Between a rock and

a hard place."

I have never been thought of as being a great thinker but,

the obvious solution that I see is for the present owner

and the hopeful new owner to get together and agree on

this one thing.

Give our present head coach and our present G.M. a

contract for a year. They may not be the greatest thing

going, but they are already here and I sincerely believe

that they would do a much better job for the Hawks right

now and for the upcoming season than any one else that

might be available at this late date.

Right now, Hawks have so much uncertaintly for next

season, and we see no end in sight for the final deal

on the sale, this makes sense to me.

What would you Hawksquawk posters suggest? Do you

It's not fair to SAR/THEO/Grob/Nazr to make them play under this circumstance. These guys should be somewhere trying to win a championship. What we have here is ownership that wants to save money. I say let's be like the Clipps. Get rid of Everybody. Gets some temporary players in here and NEXT year we can have CAPSPACE GALORE. Let's do this:

Grob/Hendu to Houston for Rice/Posey(SNT 3 year)

Theo/Nazr/CC to PTL for Rasheed Wallace/Rueben Boom Boom

Reef to Milwaukee for Kukoc/D.Mason

Resign JT to a 8 million dollar deal.

Play this squad:

Boom Boom/Wallace/Posey/Mason/JT.

And Next year we lose about 40 million in Salary...
