Atlanta - An obscure rumor was found on the internet recently pertaining to the Milwaukee Bucks and the fact Shareef Abdur-Rahim could be had for ending contracts. The fact that it was so obscure in itself brings questions of its validity.

ASHEVILLE - WNC basketball fans who want to get an upclose look at teen sensation LeBron James in the NBA will get the opportunity to buy tickets on Wednesday.

About 2,900 tickets to the Oct. 8 exhibition game between James' Cleveland Cavaliers and the Atlanta Hawks at the Asheville Civic Center will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Tickets ranging from $25 to $75 will be available at the Civic Center box office and online at Ticketmaster.com.

Terry Stotts was not exactly brought back as Hawks coach with a warm embrace. Before the former interim coach was given clearance to prepare for next season, Stotts was given permission to interview for vacancies with the 76ers and Bucks, as well as for an assistant's job with the Knicks. Stotts, in essence, remains an interim coach, with the outgoing ownership re-signing him while the franchise's sale was pending.

Is it worth $30/ticket to get crappy "balcony" tickets at a crappy auditorium here in Asheville to see LeBron. I'm kinda a cheapo, but is that ~ the 'going rate'???
