Can you recall the last time the Hawks made the playoffs two-straight years? Heck can you recall the last time the Hawks made it the the second round of the playoffs?

Most Hawks fans cannot. Its been so damn long but guess what folks the GM Rick Sund and the Hawks are in the most important off-season in franchise history! Three of our top seven plays (Bibby, Pachulia and Murray) are unrestricted free-agents. On top of that our starting SF Marvin Williams becomes a restricted free-agent.

Rick Sund will be facing a dilemma. Does he look to the draft to try and address key needs and let Mike Bibby and Co. walk? Or is there any truth to the rumors and speculation that the Hawks may look to add a start such as a Chris Bosh or Caron Butler.

NBA analyst and bloggers across the country can draw up mock off-seasons for the Hawks but 99.9% of them will be wrong. The Hawks off-season will be determined when Rick Sund sees whose available when the Hawks name is called in the first round of the NBA draft.
