If Amare does come to the ATL, mgmt. should suggest he wear googles!

Amare would be a great addition to the Hawks, but he should be required to wear protective goggles for his eyes-- all the time (not some of the time). He has had two major eye injuries in his short career. I feel he is what the risk because of his talent and impact he can have with the Hawks.

Amare should wear as much protective gear as possible lol and that would be hilarious if he did wear googles. Then we could call him the Swag Surfer lol

I do wonder how much of his "new" contract could be insured.

I'd imagine there's a good chance an insurance company would not be interested...

Um - due to Amare's detached retina - he already has to wear goggles for the rest of his career. It's not a "he should" - it's a "he has to."

As the Phoenix rep of this site - he still hasn't run. He still can't ride a bike. It can take up to 2 full years for everything to be completely normal after surgery... and dude already had a 2nd once because the first didn't work to re-attach.

Phoenix isn't trying to get rid of cat because they're worried they won't get anything for him next year when he walks (that's a secondary concern). They're trying to unload him now... because this detached retina injury ain't no joke. It's long, and a massive process. Bumps, etc. are all going to problems going forward - not just getting poked vs. not getting poked.
