Coles should never seen a NBA floor again. He's one

of the 3 worst players in the NBA. I can't for the life

me understand what you see in Coles. He couldn't

Well at least Devean George can play Defense if you don't believe me go ask Big Dog. He played pretty good Defense on Dog last year in out meeting with LA. Terry can score but is and always will be a weak defender. I think George is about 25 oppossed to Terry who will turn 26 next month.1year makes a difference in the NBA.

I'm not the biggest JT fan right now. But trading him

for a scrub like Deaven George is one of the dumbest

Well we wanted George in a deal with the lakers before the trade deadline. We were going to give them Ratliff & Terry for Horry, Medevenko, Tracy Murray and a 1strounder but the hawks wanted George in the deal and the lakers said no. Apparently the people on this board are overrating Terry's value and Theo for that matter.

Trading a 17PPG player for a 7PPG players makes no

sense at all. LA it appears turned down lots of deals

that would've helped their team... You see where it

got them last year didn't you? And @ss kicking.

They also didn't want to trade Robert Horry because

of his playoff ability.... You see what happend there

The Hawks were NEVER going to trade JT and Theo for ANYBODY on the Lakers not named Kobe or Shaq. That was some dream cooked up by Lakers' fans and/or the LA media due to the fact that everyone thought the Hawks were ready to start dumping salary at the trade deadline. Babcock made it CLEAR that he never even CONSIDERED making a deal with LA that included JT or Theo whether George would have been included or not. He MIGHT have sent Dog to LA for George/Horry but not JT or Theo.

Besides, Phil wanted too much to hang on to the players

they had despite their obvious decline. He helped prevent

the Lakers from going futher last year. He refused to update

the team and stuck with what worked in the PAST.
