DrReality
Their injuries are piling up. Falcons sign Stecker, place Moore on IRBy D. Orlando Ledbetter .Moore was a second-round pick out of Missouri and was expected to compete for a starter position. But Moore couldn't stay healthy. He suffered a knee injury that required surgery and then had to battle back from two hamstring injuries. In addition to placing Moore on injured reserve, the Falcons added running back Aaron Stecker to the roster, put cornerback Glenn Sharpe on the practice squad injured list and signed safety Eric Brock to the practice squad. Stecker worked out for the Falcons last week, but they elected to sign Antone Smith to the practice squad. Stecker's signing is designed to bolster the running back position, where fullback Ovie Mughelli (calf) and Jerious Norwood (right hip flexor) are injured. Mughelli has missed the last two games, and Norwood didn't play last week against Dallas. Edited October 28, 2009 by DrReality

That tells me Smith is the better RB then Stecker. but Stecker knows the Saints playbook after playing several years in their system. We happen to play the Saints this Monday night. This is a move to get inside the Saints playbook and nothing more.
