Will this move affect the JT Situation?

Now with McDavid being dumped and all, what does that mean for the Jason Terry situation? Does this mean that the Hawks are more likely to sign him or what? I really dont know.

Someone please tell me how this will affect JT?

If anything I think the move will hasten the Hawks decision (which reportedly is already made) to match the Jazz offer sheet for Terry.

The new management should not be as concerned with initial expenses, and keeping Terry will make sure the team is at least competitive on the floor this upcoming season.

The Hawks will still match the deal, and that may be one of the first things this ownership group does.

Plus, I think this will also smooth things over with Terry. Terry stated he didn't want to play in Atlanta anymore, but he stated the reason why was the instability of the ownership situation. Well, that situation just got quite stable, not to mention some guys he's very familiar with in Gearon, Gearon Jr, Seratan, and Seydel are part owners. These are guys who are avid Hawks fans and attended every game.

Remember that little thing where the Hawks said they will take 15 days to match the deal. That's probably how long it will take for the NBA to look over this deal and approve the new owners.
