ATLSmith
Looking at this article you have to wonder if other teams are deliberatly giving the Heat the shaft... http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ys-freeagentbuzz071110 I know many of these aren't actually confirmed deals/contacts yet.... 1) Heat go after Fisher - "Oh no you don't!" say the Lakers 2) Heat try to sign Haslem - "We'll take him thank you!" say the Mavs 3) Heat go after Felton - "Take that Heat!" say the Knicks 4) Heat trying to sign Mike Miller - Not a done deal as far as I can tell. Good point. The rest of the NBA also had a golden chance to shaft the Heat. If nobody had agreed to a Beasley SNT, the Heat would have been in a very tough spot. dang it, minnesota!! dlpin
This doesn't make any sense. Are you saying that other teams are offering better contracts to players the heat are rumored to be going after just to screw the heat? None of those players have any sort of contractual obligations to either the other teams or the heat. Why wouldn't the lakers try to resign Fisher? Especially if the only other team interested in him can only offer the minimum? The heat will have to get whoever they sign next to accept a deal for less than they would be worth on the market, so why the surprise that other teams are willing to offer more than those sorts of deals to the same players? ATLSmith
dlpin, Yea, I'm just speculating. No surprise that other teams would offer better contracts but it just seems like some teams might be going out of their way to one-up the Heat. Again, just speculation. DreamChaser
Honestly, right now, I think the Miami Heat is the most hated team in the US. I hope they get booed out of every arena they enter this year. Of course, other teams are not going to help them. (I wish we would have gotten Udonis though.)
