Why would Lucas sign a 4 year deal right before the draft? sounds like he isn't too sure he is ready to come over himself. I doubt ASG are willing to pay anymore money this offseason, so he will probably stay over another year, maybe two.

If the Atlanta plan was to stash whomever they drafted at 17 to save cap space, maybe they told him to sign that deal and they'd take him and let him play out some or all of it before bringing him over.

Thought his contract was just extended to 2015?
