benhillboy
Dwight and Josh came up in the AAU circuit, with no practice and emphasis on fast pace. I never thought of it until I heard Kerr discuss it on Open Court. I know Dwight can have a good statistical showing on post touches or whatever, but the general eye consensus is he's well below average for his potential. He has the little sweep hook with either hand, but there isn't a semblance of a counter move, let alone a second attack. Josh can pick his spots against smaller players, but he clearly wasn't taught to bang and be persistent down there, and he visibly dislikes to. Did AAU hurt them beyond repair? MQDnATL01
Just had a discussion about AAU ball at work last week. I truly believe that AAU is killing the game of basketball as far as some pro players go i should say. To much to discuss on this board but these guys that play AAU ball like Dwight and Josh are not learning some of the basics. It's almost like they're out there playing a game of 21 sometimes.
