effjee14
He didn't kill the jazz with this move. They didn't want him. They had 3 players in the front better than him. Hey, we signed the jazz's fourth best front court player for 9.5 for the next 2 seasons. Awesome!!!!!!!
ATLnightwing
Samuel Dalembert and Chris Kaman are acceptable centers.
Premium Member sturt Posted July 7, 2013 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 7, 2013 I'm not one to give a GM complete faith, but on the other hand, I'm also not one to think he's a bum. Being the chief executive of any large operation is so much more complicated than anyone on the outside can ever fully appreciate, in my opinion. DF gets a benefit of a doubt, especially early on, because (a) he brings some credible experience and (b) it's not like we have much choice anyhow. Have to agree that the miracle of the Joe Johnson trade was a huge win. He wasn't able to pull off a second miracle--ie, Paul and/or Howard signing. So, this is where he (or any GM for that matter) earns his paycheck... what decisions does he make in the pursuit of a good plan B (or C)?
