We all play this game, don't we.

Kids play "What if?" So do adults. We all love the idea of, "What if!"

Gloom and doom says, "What if Horford and JT have season ending or long

term injuries. Hawks would be very lucky to not having the worst record."

When the Hawks are playing, we all worry. "What if the shots aren't falling."

"What if these big, bad boys run all over the top of our players. Grab every

rebound and run us off the court."

"What if we can't jell as a team? Suppose we end up with just a group of

pretty good old boys that don't like each other, don't like the coaches and

don't really want to be in Atlanta?"

Gloom, despair, and agony on me. If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no

luck at all.

But wait. Some of us are more optimistic than that.

We're almost as big as most of our opponents. We do have some players

who know how and are willing to rebound and block a shot here and there.

Sometimes, when our players take a shot, it goes in and sometimes, when

we go to the line, we can expect to score.

Scott is gaining new fans every game. Some of our new guys may be better

than D league castoffs, as some would have us believe. Our new coach just

may know a thing or three about this NBA game.

So, what if this Hawk team plays pretty good and wins about half their games

until around the Christmas break and we get our two injured Hawks back? What

if these players have really come together as a team and they are ready to kick

butt and take names for the remainder of the season?

All the other pro teams from Atlanta didn't. It's all up to our beloved Hawks.
