Quiet on the home front.

MLB trade deadline is tomorrow - 08/01.  The Falcons continue to shuffle players as full contact training camp starts today.  Dream winning but must face the #1 team next.  Meanwhile, with all the smoke that boiled up about a major, blockbuster trade deal that was expected to break any moment, nothing is going on.  Instead of over 100 on the Squawk, we find everything very quiet.  It's getting scary!  When?  What?   Just anything!

Dead time.  The draft has passed.  Summer League is history.  Training camp is still somewhere out there in the future.  Squawk posters await that other shoe dropping.  JC is gone.  There is a hole where he was.  Will the Hawks make a move?  Or, will we say, to heck with it!  Let it ride!

Insiders know nothing.  Outsiders know nothing.  The remainder of us are just like a blank sheet of paper.  When does the action begin??

Maybe the hang up is on Kobe and he'll be traded this week and we can celebrate having a true #2 on the team next to Trae this weekend
