Gray Mule
No, not by the opponent, even tho the score was bad. No, not by the refs, who made some VERY questionable calls against our beloved Hawks. In a close game, it could have made a difference. In this one, it didn't change the outcome. We got whooped any way, it just wouldn't have been as bad. We got robbed by the N.B.A. Yes, them. The same ones who won't let the sale of the team be finalized. Hawks, short handed already and having one of their new players injured soon after he entered the game, were forced to leave two perfectly healthy players on the sidelines. They weren't allowed to dress or play. Detroit, however, was allowed to use their new players, at least in the first half, then they were forced to sit out the second half. Would these two new Hawks have changed the outcome? Probably not. But, they certainly would have made the score a lot closer. Down to eight healthy players, Hawks couldn't play a forceful defense. Players might foul out, then what would we do? Play with four? Three? No, we had to just lay back, let the opponent score, at will, and hope to see them another day. Hawks scored well. They had as many points as they usually do. They just were forced not to play defense. That, plus the fact that 3's were falling with an unbelieveable consistently, we got buried. Will things get better? Yes! Yes! Yes! We may not win another game this season. But, give us ALL our players and let them work together for a while. Let them bond together as a team. This will take a few games. Then, in the final 15-18 games, we will be at least competetive. Being so bad now gives us all the more reason to be looking foreward to next season. When you tear down, things look bad. No, not bad, terrible. At least, let us use ALL of our players. Being torn down is bad enough. Playing with only eight healthy bodies? That is simply too much. WE WUZ ROBBED!!! Ugly loss. But, they're still OUR HAWKS!! GO HAWKS!!!!
CBAreject
Wait, why are we trying to win games, again? I so hope we end up picking 7th instead of 1st. What wonders that would work for our franchise. Cletus: "The #1 pick ain't no guarantee! It could be a flop!" Me: "Yes, but the #1 pick is better than the #6 pick, isn't it." Cletus: "That ain't the way to build!" Me: "Oh, right. We should've kept our overpaid 'core' together and used CC in a sign and trade for Kobe. Right, I nearly forgot."
