Guest Walter
Sorry I offended you but it seems to me you need to face your biases against everything white before you accuse me of being insensitive. First, your flagrant and ignorant comments along the fault line of color started this discussion. Second, I have heard the phrase "person of color" and "individual of color" said without being remotely derogatory. Third, you unfortunately want me to use a term "African American" to describe all non-white players. This excludes Hispanic and Asian ballers. Moreover it confuses the issue with regard to players with parents of both black and white demographics (i.e. Kidd and Bibby). The word minority doesn't fit either as "minorities" aren't the minority in the NBA. Since your phrase "African American" excludes many players neither white nor black and is thus not inclusive enough, other words similarly do not fit, and the phrase "people of color" can be if not is appropriate, I'm at a loss as to why you are so offended.
