With all the talk of impending trades, it's becoming more and more obvious that any trade we make is going to include a youthful player to "sweeten the pot." This board has discussed the pros and cons of both Dion and DJ recently. Dion's got the scoring mentality, the defensive lapses, the injury risks, and is in the last year of his contract. DerMarr's still learning, is a mismatch at either the 2 or the 3, and has the outside touch...just not a lot of game from 6-16 feet. Who has the higher trade value? Would you risk DJ if it meant getting someone like Lewis, Odom, Wells, Jones etc.? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DJ I believe is a more all around talent. Per 48 minutes he will not score as much as DG but the man he is guarding won't be getting his points either. You can't say that about Dion.
