They will be the coaches that the Hawks hire to replace Mussleman and Mahorn. Lon has connections to both of them, and I think that will give them the preference over another coach that Lon has no familiarity with.

What will be interesting is who EMuss adds to his staff in Oakland. Assistant coach's jobs are a year to year thing. It is possible that Atlanta may have to replace 3 assistants. It wouldn't surprise me to see Gar Heard follow EMuss to Oakland.

The guy I'd like to see the Hawks bring on as an assistant (well, that isn't Dominique, whom I think should get a legitimate chance) is Lionel Hollins. He was just hired by the Grizzlies, but nothing is binding.

Why hire him?

I stated the reason why they will hire him. He has a connection with Lon. They played on the same Kansas State team in the mid seventies.

I never said I would agree with the hiring.
